We purchased two of these devices to help with our big guy Bruce who likes to howl in the middle of the night, and our girl Koa who likes to argue throughout the day with the neighbors frenchie (ours are both 130# give or take bull mastiffs). All was well until we heard her yelp in the middle of the day for no apparent reason, there was no bark, no growl, no reason she should have been zapped. We removed it, checked it to make sure there was no obvious issue, which there wasnt, then put it back. Unfortunately it happened 3 more times, twice while she was sleeping, once while she was walking, again for no apparent reason! We removed the device for good and thought it was just one faulty device as we had not noticed any issues with the other device. Boy were we wrong! I was feeding Bruce when out of no where he was zapped so unprovoked that he thought I had done the zapping and was scared to come near me. I removed it that instant and requested a return! I felt like the worst dog mom ever for allowing these awful devices anywhere near them! I would not recommend these to anyone who is not looking to hurt rather than stop an unwanted behavior. I would rather both dogs bark and howl all night than to subject them to this torture!
