Solid Riding Computer

Bought this a month ago and I am enjoying it. Probably should have opted for the touch screen and solar charging but the 540 is a good option for the price. Figuring out the buttons was challenging at first and figuring out how to turn notifications off. I love the data screens and how easily it connects to my power meter.

Work Horse

I use the 540 with road, gravel and MTB. The screen is easy to see and read. The buttons are a little slick, but I added a rubber case that solved that issue. Charging is good and I like the USB-C connection. The activity screens are very customizable and you can get up 8-10 data metrics on some of the viewing screens. The only difference from the upper models is bigger screen with touch. I have mine paired with Varia radar/ lights and multiple HR/CAD/PWR sensors with no issues. The battery life is great, longest so far was a 6hr ride that still had 40% left.

Clunky Operation W/ Buttons

I purchased this as backup for my 840. I am long time Garmin user going back to Edge 710. This unit I has nearly the same features as my 840 but operation using the buttons is not intuitive which would be helpful for backup that will be used sporadically. Wahoo Elment Bolt is much more intuitive and user friendly

Enjoying The Additional Features Over The 530

Enjoying the additional features over the 530 like climb pros for climbs without having a route/course going. But, I want the ability to turn OFF the e-bike low battery notice on screen. This notice will NOT leave the screen when I press the "x" button and it overrides my ability to see any of my screen... won't allow me to save the activity at the end... won't let me see the route directions when they come up... it is very very obtrusive. I can check my battery levels myself. Please make that an OPTIONAL feature! Also, it is NOT giving me training load status at all.
