fēnix 6X Pro Solar – Mostly Great, But Pixel 7 Pro Connectivity Issues Are a Dealbreaker Hi all, I've been using the fēnix 6X Pro Solar for a while now and wanted to share my experience. There’s a lot I like, but also one major issue that’s really frustrating. Pros: Battery life is excellent. Easily lasts days, and the solar charging is a great bonus. I use the watch mainly for notifications (calls, messages, etc.), and that works quite well when it's connected. Step tracking is fun, though not super accurate — more motivational than precise. Cons: The biggest issue is with Bluetooth connectivity on my Pixel 7 Pro. The watch keeps disconnecting due to "security" reasons. It’s a known issue, and I’ve tried everything — latest updates, resets, re-pairing. Still, about once or twice a month, I have to manually re-pair the device. This really hurts the user experience, especially for a high-end device. Honestly, I’d be happy if Garmin offered a way to return or exchange this model for a newer one at a fair price. I love the hardware and battery, but this persistent connection issue is just too disruptive. Would love to hear if others have found a more permanent solution or had better luck with newer models.

Great Watch
Ive used this watch daily for the past 5 years, Its never missed a step and never had a hiccup. Im extremely hard on my gear and the watch is still in phenomenal shape. I cant say anything bad about this watch honestly.

Solar Pro - Poor Reliability
First one lasted over a year and had to be returned. This new one over a year and it keeps losing sync. Expensive watch with very poor reliability. Now telling military friends to avoid the Garmin.

Great Product With More Features That I Can Leverage!
This product has a lot of features for a smart watch that coupled with the Connect app, provides more than the basic health metrics I originally wanted. I've used this for gathering base information such as blood pressure, hours slept, steps, etc. There are too many features to discuss and the ones I like most are the metrics of my sports activities (like running and walking) and the ability to music providers such as Spotify. This looks likes a watch that will last for a long time so until there's a needed feature on a future product, I will use this until that time. The Connect app is a great complement to the watch but that's a product that needs its own review. Great job Garmin!
