Love It

I went from an Apple Watch 8 to the Garmin Vivoactive 5 to now this watch and I absolutely love it. It definitely caters more to my fitness goals and what I’m trying to achieve. I love all the features that it offers, and I love the design of the watch. I really like the solar design and not the bright oled display. I switched out the watchband to make the watch more comfortable to wear. I did choose this watch over the fenix 8 and I do not regret my decision. I feel like I got the same watch for half the price. I have been using this watch to marathon train and track my gym sessions and it has been very helpful. This watch made me realize that what I needed was a fitness watch and not a smart watch

Clunky And Unreliable

I purchased the Fenix 7S Pro with high expectations. Out of the box it was impressive. Great styling and lots of functions. But then I went for a MTB ride and ended up with a bruise on my wrist from the bezel. After first ocean swim it froze in open swim mode. Next time I swam with it in pool....same issue. Sleep start time was always 2 hours later than when I went to sleep. Battery life was unimpressive even with solar at 7-8 days on a full charge. I've owned many Garmin watches and this one was sub-standard. HOWEVER, I replaced it with a Forerunner 265S and it ROCKS! 5 stars! Much lighter, more user friendly and 20 days of use on one charge...FANTASTIC! So save your money and buy the 265S.

Fenix 7s Pro Sapphire Solar

Things I love about it: the flashlight. The smaller size on my wrist compared to bigger watches. The battery life is 11 days… but with flashlight usage, training, and other I get about 6-8 days in between charges. And a full charge is very fast! It’s back on my wrist in no time at all. Low battery mode stretches it out SUBSTANTIALLY if you’re in a pinch! Sleeping with it is no hassle, and using it as a silent alarm on my wrist with the vibrate only mode allows me to wake up without disturbing the babies in the early mornings—this capability changed my life. The option to turn off/on the touch screen is great- I like it off most times, but I really appreciate that I can turn it on anytime I want for a more modern feel and interaction. I love the buttons and prefer to use them over the touch screen. Also love the GARMIN service. My first watch started having issues with the flashlight. I called garmin, went through the troubleshooting and provided a video of the issue online. They swapped my watch with a replacement free of charge since I was still within my 1 year warranty period. From what I can tell, even after my 1 year warranty expires, they have options for us that are a lot cheaper than a total replacement in case something happens again. That makes me feel good to know they’re still supporting me as I want to stay with GARMIN long term. Overall, I’d say it’s the best smart watch I have owned. I have Apple Watch but I prefer my Garmin 10 times out of 10. Also, garmin did not pay me for this review.

Beautiful But Lacking

First off I love the look of the watch and the battery life is amazing. A lot of the features are nice but it lacks. I moved from an Apple Watch to the fenix due to battery life. My Apple Watch would die after just 18 hrs which was frustrating. The battery life on the fenix with all sensors going last at least 9 days which is a huge improvement over the Apple Watch. It does do notifications for texts and calls but this is where it lacks when paired with an Apple phone. I can read the texts and see the calls but I am not able to respond to texts or answer the calls on my watch. The watch will answer the call but not on the watch to the phone instead. Also the Bluetooth range sucks. If I walk from my bedroom into the living room the watch loses connection to my phone while with the Apple Watch I could walk across the house. The connectivity to the Apple phone is lacking over all. I still love the watch and will continue using it hoping for a better update in the future.

Best Watch I've Ever Owned — A Data-lover’s Dream

I’ve had the fēnix® 7S Pro Sapphire Solar for a few weeks now and let me just say — this watch is an absolute beast. As a runner, this thing is built for performance. As a data analyst, it’s built for obsession. Every morning I wake up pumped to check my sleep score, heart rate trends, VO2 Max, and Body Battery — and that’s just before coffee (or in my case, another run). The solar charging is no gimmick either — I’ve gone days without plugging in, and it just keeps going. The size (42mm) is perfect for my wrist, giving it a sleek but rugged look without being bulky. It feels like it was made specifically for people like me who want all the power and features without sacrificing comfort or style. Whether I’m logging hill runs, strength training in the garage, or tracking recovery, this watch delivers with precision. The custom data fields and metrics keep me dialed in every step of the way. I’ve used plenty of fitness trackers, but nothing even comes close to this. If you’re serious about your training — or just love seeing every metric your body can produce — the 7S Pro is your new best friend.
