Love This Watch
I bought this based on how much I loved my Fenix 6s Pro. I wasn't ready to spend the cash on an 8 yet but wanted to try the solar out. So far this watch hasn't disappointed me. The solar does seem to add a little to the battery life on the smaller size watch and I like the extra functions and metrics that the 6 didn't have. Touch screen is nice too. I would recommend if you're not ready to pay for an 8 yet.

Much Improved Over My 6s
Great watch and a good upgrade from my previous 6s. Great additional features including the Morning Report. Also appreciate the solar charging - it really helps.

Two Years- Requesting Service
History: I had my Fenix5 Sapphire for 5 years before deciding I want a slightly smaller watch with equal or greater performance (I handed down the older watch to a family member). I think the biggest downgrade initially was the fenix 7S Sapphire Solar seemed to have shorter battery, every other aspect met or exceeded expectations! After two years of loving this watch I am having difficulties, I tried all troubleshooting tips to have the buttons reset/stop glitching including soft and hard restarts and factory reset. After the factory reset I cannot get it to reconnect to Garmin Connect, so I contacted Garmin. Since I had already gone through all troubleshooting they have agreed to replace the watch with a recertified version at no cost once I send back the original (a downpayment until then). Based on some online browsing I am beginning to wonder if this will ultimately happen again. I sure do hope not, but until then hope to get a few more great years out of the recertified watch! Overall, Garmin support has been good, unsure if the technology is worth the cost if it only lasts two years but have been extremely happy with the watch up until this point!
