Nice Watch

Love the watch however it was most shocking when I found out that you have buy different faces for it , I would think that a watch that cost as much as it does, that would be somewhat included, just because of that fact I might return it

Overall Good. Glitches + Nice To Have Missing

Good watch for its features, fitness tracking, especially diving computer that I've used and doesn't require an additional subscription. Battery is also a highlights with 2 weeks autonomy. On the downside, my watch had to be replaced twice in a year already due to glitches (Garmin makes it easy and free to swap though). Garmin Pay is not working on my watch at all even with compatible cards/banks, can't add any at all. I've exhausted all troubleshooting and support options by now, not fixable at this point. Very frustrating! To Garmin: Own this! Go meet with the banks and stop telling your customers to do your work and ask their banks to make it compatible when not or make complex efforts to fix it. Your support has been more than helpless in this case - awful. Garmin Pay is an advertised feature on this watch. Also nice to have missing: hen immersing in a pool like to swim would be nice to have a temperature reading automatically popping up like Apple. Taking into account the downsides, it makes its price a little on the too expensive side of things.

Great Watch But Laggy Ui

The hardware is fantastic! Best Fenix watch yet, but more software updates needed to eliminate the lags in button pushes and swipes. Hopefully these will come soon.

Texting And Receiving Call Issues

I purchased my Fenix Watch 8 over 6 months ago to be my main watch. Although it's a great looking watch and is top of the line for health and athletic features, it is a dinosaur when it comes to texting and calls. The ability to text someone is an after thought with this watch. When calls come through and I answer I can't hear the other person on the line and they can't hear me, so I have to go digging around my bag to get the calls. This is extremely inconvenient. I guess the ability for contacts to sync with the watch compromises battery quality. I ended up buying a Samsung Smart watch to wear when I'm not working out.

Promptly Returned My Fenix

a couple quick observations - the watch looks good - the display is good - feature set like activity tracking etc seems complete - feels less than premium though compared to my apple watch ultra, lighter, feels plasticy. Trying to configure it was a nightmare. I turned on the password to unlock the watch. As I was trying to set up my watch face the password prompt kept popping up. Trying to set the various widgets on the home screen was awkward to the point I gave up. Not sure that I ever felt comfortable using the touch screen and physical buttons for navigation seems very 80's. Finally I didn't really want to stop using the current golf tracking subscription I have but would have if I loved the watch. Since I would use that app on the Fenix and I there was enough friction getting things set up that sealed it for me. Returned w/in 72 hours.
