Missed The Mark
I miss my old watch. It did math better than the 965.
Unable to get this watch to alert on .62 miles (1K) during a scheduled workout run. My old Garmin could.
It only alerts on 1 Mile, it's a fail for me on this aspect.
Triathlon default setting is a long press and hold to change to the next leg. this is a departure from all previous watch versions where it was just a short press to change. I was not aware of the new default (I had to change) and this caused me to not correctly track many of my first Triathlons with this watch. Not Happy.
The display is nice. Unable to see where I am in a zone on meter because there is a tiny line that is hard to distinguish where that line is when running.

Overall Great Watch
I have had my Forerunner 965 watch for three years. Overall, it has been a great watch. I am an active cyclist, trail runner and strength enthusiast and for those activities it has been a great watch. It syncs well with the TrainingPeaks app, which is nice if you are working with a coach. It has so many features and you can tailer it the way you want it, which it nice. It is a little complicated to set up, but you can YouTube it and there are many videos that will walk you through the set up, which is super nice. The main thing I do love about the watch is the battery life. After three years it doesn't last as long (that's expected) but I can still get three days without charging it. And, it will last my entire 8 hour century ride or 6 hour trail run, which is the main reason I switched to this watch. I also like the fact that I don't have to do anything when I get in water. There is no water activation button, etc., I can just start swimming and get out and it functions as normal. My only complaint is that after 2 years, I did notice the decline in functionality, which I did not expect so soon. The battery power saver will randomly turn on, it will buzz randomly for the enable battery, there are times it will not sync my workout, I will have to forget the device so it can re-connect to my phone periodically, the ghost touches are real! These are not huge issues, but very annoying. The face did crack easily the first year and I have no idea how it happened as I don't recall a fall or hitting it hard on something. So, I just didn't expect that without a big hit. I had the Apple watch prior and used that for my triathlon training and hit that thing many times in the concrete pools and it never once cracked. Overall, love the watch. And, I personally love the typical watch round circle style.

Great Smart Watch
My Forerunner 965 is definitely an upgrade from my Apple Watch. The 965 does everything I needI that the Apple Watch does, but I especially like the 965's ability to hold a charge for at least two weeks before needing a charge, and the accuracy and responsiveness of the heart rate monitor. I also appreciate the choice of screens with larger fonts for key data during workouts.

Overall Very Happy
I previously owned the Garmin 945 and have been through many generations before that. I love some of the updates now - screen is so much easier to see and battery saving if the screen being dark when not in use. Also like the flatter design- more flush to the wrist.
The three negatives for me are 1. The top right button gets pressed easily when i cross my arms. Just an annoyance that i need to then press a button to get it back to the correct screen. 2. I preferred the old method of powering down but hitting one button. Now you have to hit the power down and then hit yes. Just an unnecessary extra step. Again - nothing terrible, but annoying since these were not issues with the past models. 3. Strength option. The 945 differentiated strength and weights so you could use one for hitting splits with sets and one was just a timer. I liked the ability to time my session overall - not doing sets. Please consider adding that back to the menu.

Expectations Exceeded
I bought this watch as my samsung kept seemingly losing distance on race day. This watch has exceeded expectations on the running component from workouts to the support apps not to mention the golf maps with distances to the greens front, middle and back. I downloaded a marathon Playlist and left my phone in the truck just used the watch and headphones and was overly impressed used minimal battery 10/10 recommend this well worth the $

Great Features
The lighting and graphics are tremendous. Resetting the data screen for cycling is difficult. It is measuring certain things like stairs and calories differently than my previous Garmin watch but I’m trusting that is because it measures pulse more accurately. Overall, a great watch.

Awesome Purchase!
I absolutely love this watch! I'm so glad that I splurged and I can't wait to dig more into the features. I highly recommend! I had been nervous since it was so expensive; however, I am very happy with my price and all the advanced features for the price. I hope they eventually add tractive as a compatible app.

Fantastic Product! Fantastic Team.
I got the 965 as a replacement for my 955 ( an old friend that after many years gave up the ghost). It’s a fantastic wearable and fully meets all my needs and more. My overarching comment though is that Garmin is a fantastic company to do business with. That have a very capable device team and have really customer centric policies. Don’tt ever hesitate to do business with Garmin.
