Newbe Friendly

I've ice fished a few times before but never caught any fish. I bought the Garmin striker 4 because it will function as a flasher for ice fishing then in warmer weather I can mount it to my kayak. It was easy to learn how to use and the first time on the ice with it I caught two chain pickerel and a bunch of bluegill. Four of which I kept and had a nice meal. The price was affordable and I think I got a lot for the money. Very pleased.

Best Buy Ever

My husband and I bought this to use for our recent ice fishing trip and we're so glad we did. It was easy to use, but there are features we still need to learn about it. The battery seemed to last a long time and the bag it came with is very convenient. Overall, we think it helped us tremendously and we don't know why we didn't purchase one sooner. We caught more than we've ever caught before in one trip. We would highly recommend this product.

The Great Features About This Fish Finder Is As Portable Rechargeable You Can Put It In Any Boat Kayak That You Want To And Never Have To Worry About A Thing

I bought this Gorman fish finder depth finder a month ago I brought it straight home put everything together took my kayak out to try it out and it really works great I would say anybody that wants a portable GPS by Garmin this is the thing to get very easy to operate and very easy to take care of

Pretty Outstanding Little Unit For The Money

Bought this to ice fish. Read some reviews about the transducer not being optimal for ice fishing, but that wasn't the case for me-maybe in deeper water the other one would excel. But for 20-30 ft i had no problem marking fish and my tiny ice jigs. Pretty impressive. I did pull the wires out of one of the connectors when i removed them to charge the unit, so i had to remedy that on my own. The connectors are a very tight fit to the battery so always be careful to grab and pull by the connector not the wires. Also i wish the base was a bit smaller so it could fit more easily into the backpack i carry it out in. Those two criticisms aside it's really above what i expected. I caught around a hundred fish with use of the flasher. It's easy to tell what small fish and big fish look like after a little use. Also the screen dims at night which is a pretty cool feature. I've found that after being in the bag sometimes it takes a minute to increase the brightness once out and fishing, but you can just hit the power button from any screen and adjust it Right away. Also, if you're having trouble marking fish or your jig consistently, it's crucial to make sure the transducer is evenly parallel with the ground. And i also found it helps to make sure it is completely below the ice but not by a whole lot you don't want to make your feedback cone smaller than needed.

Does The Job

Bought this for ice fishing, works pretty good, no idea on directions but you can figure it out by trial and error. It has improved my ice fishing catch.

Great Gadget

Works great for ice fishing or in a boat. Can't beat the price.
