Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME Watch!! I purchased the Garmin Vivoactive 3 watch about a month ago. I am totally in love with this watch. It has all the great features of a Fitbit plus more. I went through 4 Fitbit Surges in one year. They cost the same as the Garmin Vivoactive 3. Except it has color and a tone of great features. This watch can automatically recognize strength training activities and count reps/sets. What more can you ask for?!? In case you were wondering the watch is waterproof too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice big screen! I’ve had this Garmin for about three weeks, after my Viviactive HR died while I was swimming. I like the big screen, it’s easy to read but the battery life is poor, I have to charge it about every 4 days and when I’m using the GPS a little bit sooner than that. The vibration is strong, but the scroll tool on the left is constantly going off and moving the screen around, something I plan on adjusting in the future. My twin sister got the same one after she liked mine, the white and rose gold looks very professional, but I have the black and silver and I like mine as well. Overall I like it a lot, just wish the battery life was a little longer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loving so far As a recovering Fitbit user, I’m loving all the features of this watch: the round watch face, long battery life, gps, pedometer heart rate and sleep logging. So much data. Can’t wait to take this on my first run. How wonderful to have a watch that gives me real-time running data. I’m not sure how accurate the information is, at Orangetheory I burned 520 calories but my watch said 430, that said, it might have been my strength training setting and that workout is more cardio than anything. I’m still figuring it all out. Oh, and I love the white band and rose gold face. I normally choose borkng, go with everything black. Glad I didn’t.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed review I love the map created of where I walk around parks using the GPS. I like the large diverse clock faces available. I have added free a compass widget which I like a lot. I don't love how many times something has gone wrong and I have had to go back to the default settings and make all of my changes again. I have walked on the beach. It has reported I was at -159 ft. (I doubt it, but don't really care.) Also floors climbed can be almost 50% off. But you can add an activity to correct the data, if you really care. Getting extra info about what is available and what can be done is something I can't find. Manual is very simplistic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Contemporary Functional Fitness I've had my Vivoactive 3 for about a month now after having two of the VivoactiveHR's. Personally, I preferred the ruggedness of the HR and control buttons better that the full touch screen of the 3. The 3 works just fine, it's just feels a bit more delicate than the HR, mostly due to the thinner 20mm band and thinner watch body. That being said, the 3 has performed flawlessly through all types of cycling and Crossfit activities. While I find all Garmin devices battery's to be superior, I have to charge the 3 twice per week versus the HR's once per week. All the sync functionality is solid as expected and so for the money it's a great device!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good features and design - nice if they all worked I had a Vivoactive HR and then upgraded to the 3 for design and comfort reasons. I had also hoped certain aspects worked a bit better. I love the feature set and phone app for the watch. I wish the stair climbing was accurate - it seems to catch about 25% of my climbing our 21 step stairway. When biking, the heart rate on the watch doesn't start to go up to match my chest strap heart rate on my Garmin 1000 until about 20 minutes into the ride. The 1000 will say my HR is 150 and the 3 will show 110. After about 20 minutes the 3 will get reasonably close to the 1000. I very much like the software update to the sleep tracking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My second tracker I am a 71 year old man who hikes with my dog 8 to 10 miles a day and wanted a tracker that had more functionality then my old one and the Vivioactive 3 meets my needs for the most part. The steps and distance both are very accurate to actual measured distance covered and the watch is comfortable. It is common for me to hike trails with a 6% to 8% grade with some areas as much as a 15% grade with an overall climb of 800 to 900 foot and the floors section does not track anything under 10% grade and that is my only negative. It would be a full 5 stars if there was a app for tracking total elevation change hiking both up and down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Option for Runners I bought this while training for a trail race. It works great for running as I can easily turn on intervals and customize those intervals. The face has all of the information that I typically want to see (miles, time, pace) and the vibration is much easier to catch to than the beeping of my previous model. I used to often miss the beep due to traffic noise, etc. The only downside that I have noticed is the sensitivity of the watch face. I can't wear this for daily use as I seem to always trigger something to change the settings on the face or switch to a different view. I wish there was a way to lock the screen when I'm not actively touching the watch face.
