The unique body style of the Yamamoto Shad Shape Worm makes it perfect for finicky fish without overwhelming them. Combining elements from Senko worms and shad baits, this soft plastic worm offers a smooth and even fall rate with action that's enhanced by the smaller tail. Gary Yamamoto® Shad Shape Worms are also infused with salt, giving them a little extra weight and more flavor to keep fish on longer.

Best dropshot bait I’ve used. I fish on super clear water in the northeast. Primarily for smallmouth. The natural colors all work well. Only issue, as with most Yamamoto baits is durability. But I believe that adds to their successful catch rate.

I just finished a bag of the green pumpkin and I really had great success with them first of all the softness of the bait is a giant attribute as a bite compresses the bait salt and attractant are released and the entire bait is engulfed. Generally I can count on Yamamoto products to outperform other products in similar colors and sizes but I always appreciate the innovation of these products.

Excellent Bait. Down to my 4 last packs of cinnamon red with blue flake. Best color on the planet for smallmouth. Bummed they discontinued that color.

Best dropshot bait out there. I’ve fished it from Canada to Florida with great success.

This my go to bait for fly in walleye trips I use 1/4 to 3/8’s jig heads with this bait

Great bait. Works well with a simple jig head hook. But like many soft plastics, after catching one fish, the lure is almost unusable. But it is so effective, it’s worth it.

One of the best drop shot baits on the market. If you need a bite pressure lake this is my go to!

The Yamamoto Shad Shaped Worm is the finest drop shot bait I have ever used. It has been my go to for Lake Powell smallmouths for years. I try other lures/techniques from time to time, but I always go back to "old reliable" because it simply works. Put a drop shot Shad Shaped Worm in front of a smallmouth and it can't resist it! Truly one of the greatest baits ever devised for the drop shot technique!

Being a long time fan of the original for my smallmouth pursuits I was delighted to see this introduced. Split shot, of course drop shot and sneaky good up in the column hover strolled. _x000D_ _x000D_ Great addition Yamamoto. I wanted this one for a long time. Another Yamamoto mainstay in my finesse game.

If you really want to catch bass, especially smallmouth bass, this is a must have lure. There is no better dropshot bait, and works great on a shakey head as well. Color #031 is dynamite when sight fishing in clear water. Darker colors like #297 are dynamite along the edges of deep weed beds. Nose-hook these on a #4 Gamakatsu dropshot hook and 6-pound test line and get ready to catch the biggest smallmouth bass around. Check out the videos of using the Shad Shape Worm on my You Tube Channel (Marc Marcantonio).
