Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falls apart very easily I like this chair and I like how it keeps keeps the sun out of my face. However, the part that connects it to the chair that makes it go up and down falls apart very easily. And it’s annoying. For $49.99 I wouldn’t expect this to happen. I took it back to Dicks where I was able to return it. The one I’ve got now is a piece of JUNK too and the piece that fell apart at the same spot. The chair looks brand new because I’ve gotten hardly any use out of it . I got it towards the ends of last seasons soccer, so probably nothing I can do about it . So I guess I’m out $49.99. I would NOT RECOMMEND this to anyone ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, comfortable, and perfect for lots of sun! Bought two of these chairs before the Indy 500. Been going with my dad for 20+ years without any shade and we're always TORCHED by the end of it. NOT THIS YEAR, regardless of the 100+ degree heat. The chairs we're light enough to carry a couple miles (with dragging wheeled coolers too), we're very easy to set up, and incredibly comfortable - I've owned many camping chairs throughout the years, and this is the most comfortable I've ever owned. The shade is very easily adjustable, which was needed with the moving sun throughout the day, and sturdy enough that wind won't be an issue. If you're looking for a shaded chair, don't look any further - this is it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from POORLY MADE My husband and I purchased two of these chairs plus the warranty because we do a lot of outside activities during the summer months. We were replacing our last chairs after 7 yrs. After one use on of the chairs would not re open, so I was able to ex change it. Then the second chair did not re open after 2 uses. For the price of these chairs they should not be going bad after 1 to 2 uses. I called the warranty company to file a claim for the 2nd chair, was told to call GCI directly. Called GCI and because the chairs have a lifetime warranty I didn't need to purchase the warranty from Dicks. I'm taking both chairs back for a full refund.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I bought this about three weeks ago. I do not like it. The bag ripped in multiple places where the mesh connects to the vinyl. The mechanism on the back of the chair which allows the shade to fold into the back has become difficult to engage. It is bending and sticking and I am afraid it is going to rip right off of the back of the chair because of the force required to place the awning in the folding position. I do not recommend this chair. I believe there are better designs. I gave it two instead of ones star because it does provide decent shade.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still undecided I bought this chair b/c I wear glasses and don’t have sunglasses. The sunglasses are very costly. So I thought this was the next best thing. It seems ok. The head covering isn’t very sturdy and the material is starting to show some signs of wear. I’ve only used it 3 times. The main thing that I didn’t think about is if your trying to talk to someone next to you you have to lean forward, move the sun shade so it’s no longer shading you, or peak through the bracket hole. I would probably recommend the other style where the sun covering drops down. On a good note outside of the covering the chair is very sturdy. The bag for the chair is very easy with the big opening. It’s not too heavy, and does have a cup holder attached to the side of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after one use :( I LOVED this chair when I tried it out at our local store and we actually ended up purchasing two (one teal, one red) at full price. After only one use, the canopy/umbrella ultimately bent (basically, we adjusted the canopy to open it and after a few hours went to close it and put it away and the plastic piece that holds the canopy frame to the chair frame bent). Totally disappointing as $49.99 was spent on this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Already tearing I bought this chair to sit in to watch my kids play soccer and softball. I am a female who weighs 155lbs. The third game I took it to....third time I sat in it...I notice the fabric tearing at the top of the seat where it's attached to the chair frame. The bag it goes in has already come apart around the mesh top. The quality of this chair is terrible! When I get a chance I will be returning it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor hardware for sun shield Comfortable chair but part that attaches the sun shield fell apart after a few uses. Could have gotten a regular chair for $7.99. Don’t waste the extra money on this useless canopy chair.
