Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mink Oil I have had 2 pairs of these boots so far. I am fixin to buy my third pair now. The only problem I have had with these boots is on the first pair. After about a year and a half the seams busted where the leather and rubber meet. On the second pair I used mink oil on all leather and rubber once a week. I also coated the seams that were likely to bust with a very, very heavy coat of mink oil. This allowed me another 6 months of life from the boot before I absolutely had to buy another pair. I am an electrician and do alot of underground conduit work. For a boot to last 2 years for me is amazing. Also would not mind seeing this boot with a composite non-conductive toe for us hardworking electricians out here.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice boot, but NOT WATERPROOF I bought a two pair of new Georgia boots about a month ago, one for dry days, and these muddogs for rainy days. While shopping, I clicked on the link that advertised waterproof boots, and these boots appeared under that list...so I bought them. First day in the rain on the construction site and my feet were wet, soaked through into my socks. Someone needs to fix this on the website, because these boots are not waterproof, as I unfortunately found out. If you are looking for a waterproof boot, this is not it. They are comfortable, and durable, just not waterproof...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 8th pair or Mud Dog Boots. I would just like to thank all the good people involved on my latest Georgia Boot purchase. I have been a long time customer and fan of your quality products. I work in the woodworking industry as a Service Engineer for a company that sells the highest quality moulders, grinders, and finger joint machines money can buy. So as you can imagine, traveling all over the country is part of daily life. I have also had the privilege of being a field service technician all my life. This is the 8th pair of quality boots I have purchased. These boots have withstood the harsest work environments that North America has to offer. Sincerest Thankfulness and Gratitude to all who have been apart of this great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Boots These boots are the best boots I have ever worn. They aren't heavy, and also they are super comfortable. I work in the HVAC industry, so I'm up and down ladders, and stuff always falling on them. No boot has lasted me this long. Also when you buy the boot, the initial fit up is very tight. At first I didn't want to wear them, because they were so tight fitting, but after you break them in, they are amazing. So my advice is don't buy a bigger size when the boot is right or snug, because if you do that, once the boot is broken in, the boot will be to big

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Arborist Boot Top Choice I have been wearing this exact boot for about 8 years now. I climb trees for a living and I climb on shingle roofs as well to trim trees. I trust these boots for traction and safety more than other shoes or boots that I put to the test. I have never cut my legs or feet but the boots do get scars on them. They last me about 18 months and the stitching always opens up where the leather joins the rubber on top of the foot. The reason is because my climbing trees rubs the stitches until the break open. It all works out fine because by that time the bottom of the boot is worn out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and durable I am looking for my third pair. I have tried all sorts of brands of boots and havent found any to be as comfortable as these boots. I get about a year n a half out of them. The only reason I cant get 2+ years is they rub on cable on the bottom of the souls for a year and a half. I am in mud and sewer water all day. They are always dry.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so good I ordered these boots on April 6, 2016 and received them April 11, 2016. At first they were great, but because of the lower part being rubber, that made them hard to break in. During the break in process, the rubber part is so hard they caused me to get bunions on both feet. But I overlooked it. I really wanted these boots to work out. After some time they finally became more comfortable. Over the last couple of weeks, the inner liner has torn and makes it extremely difficult to get my foot out of the boot. Then to top it all off, today, August 10, 2016, I squatted down to pick something up and the seam between the leather and rubber busted open. I really wanted these boots to work out, but I don't think I would buy these again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work very well for the oilfield (solids control) This review is two weeks in. I was concerned when I tried them on and the left was a little tighter than the right around the top of the rubber part. I thought they would be hard to break in as well, they seemed pretty stiff. Two weeks in they have broken in nicely and are not stiff at all. They are true to size; I wear a size 10 athletic shoe and that is the size I purchased. After the inner cushion wears down, I will replace them with my Timberland Pro cushions (which are thicker), but that shouldn't be for a while. I walk through oil-base mud constantly and the waterproof rubber is perfect. I really like the holes at the top that allow me to pull them on. The large opening does allow for more rocks than normal to get in, but it isn't a bad trade-off. I owned Red Wings Worx before, which were great; however, for my work environment, I prefer the Mud Dogs.
