Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought on Sale I bought this after seeing it was on sale for 14.99. I like the knife itself pretty good. It holds a sharp edge and came like that. The handle is decent with the rubber grips making it pretty ergonomic. Its small enough to carry easily. My gripe is with the sheath. I'd love to see a smaller easier sheath. This one comes up and covers the whole handle almost where as most fixed blade knives only cover the rear or back of the knife handle that would be closet to the body when carrying. Would also life a vertical AND horizontal carry of a knife this size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cutting edge is only 3 3/8" Good knife for the price. Got it on sale for $20. Using it as fixed blade for bug out bag. Only thing I would like changed is blade size on description.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice edge, good durable steel. great deal for the price. this knife held up to processing 2 deer and all it needed was a leather strap to bring back the edge. good quality and a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Knife and Sheath I purchased a few of these and I just got them. For the price, I am impressed with the quality of the knife and the sheath. I don't know why everyone complains about the sheath. I think it is nice and I like it. The knife fits into it well, there is interior plastic guarding throughout, nice snug buttoned strap, belt loop, and it covers the handle, which prevents rubbing or snagging on clothes or items when worn or packed. Haven't gotten to fully test out the knife, but I will update when I do. So far, I like this knife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality knife, not as sharp as it should be After using this knife to skin and clean several squirrels, I am satisfied with the quality of the blade and the excellent feel of the handle. Pros- Quality blade, excellent grip, holds an edge and easy to clean. Cons- The knife did not come very sharp. The tip was not sharp at all. I had to sharpen the knife and hone the tip to a real point that was usable. The strap to lock the knife in the sheath was short and required stretching to snap. Overall I am satisfied with the knife and at a good price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice knife, great for the money Extremly worth it, when you look at the price. Very durable so far. I usually buy knives to collect, this was intended for hard use, which it excels at. Sheath could be a little better, difficult to insert the knife safely if its strapped to you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Gerber Freeman The blade is very sharp and the knife fits the hand like none other but the sheath is very badly designed. It is just awful design and they should either redesign the sheath or offer a kydex type sheath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great size and knife for the price My wife and son bought me this knife for my birthday. We are regular hikers, campers, hunters, and outdoors people. It is razor sharp, holds and edge and is not a bear to sharpen. It is a pleasure to use and is light in the hand. the largest draw back is the handle is somewhat small (around), and the sheath is borderline awful. I will still give it 5 stars. this is about the knife and the quality you get (and is expected from Gerber) at the very low price. Huge bang for your buck
