My wife has had this helmet for several years. She wore it pretty regularly until this past summer. Last year she decided that helmets were unnecessary and did not really provide much protection and that their effectiveness was overrated. I never wore a helmet so it was no concern to me. Some friends i occasionally ride with wanted me to take aride with them but informed me i needed a helmet so i took my fifes old fixture. I was amazed it was comfortable well vented lite and provided a sense of safety. I did not crash but am sure it would save me i will wear it again
