Great Lightweight Helmet
My wife bikes often. I had not owned a bike in years and got one last winter. As we were getting ready to embark on our first ride together my wife asked if i had had been sold a helmet when i bought my bike. I told her i had never even looked at them nor were they mentioned. She told me she had had bought a gray giro isode but never got into the habit of wearing it. I was surprised as i knew my wife was skeptical of their effectiveness and i didn't think she owned one. She offered that i could wear the helmet because it had been awhile since I rode. It didn't sound like a horrible idea so i took her up. The helmet was easy to get on and adjust and was not burdensome during the ride. Afterwards she asked what I thought of the helmet and I told her frankly it seemed fine and i liked it. she told me i was welcome to keep Wearing it and on our next few rides i did. By the end of the summer i truly became accustomed to it. This is a great helmet and i really recommend you get and wear it.

Great If You Can Make It Fit
I really wanted a helmet with MIPS, but simply couldn't make this one fit. The straps are sewn at a fixed point where they meet under the ear, rather than having an adjustable clip as most other helmets do, greatly limiting the fit. Note that I also tried the Isode II model. In comparison, this looked more "mushroom-y," but I liked the gray (vs black) strap color.

Nice Design But The Straps Are Not Adjustable.
Got it this month and like the design and fit good for my head but wish the straps were adjustable. still like it but could be better.

First Mips Helmet And Love It
This is both my first Giro brand helmet and my first MIPS technology helmet. I like how Giro has the side straps set already so that's two less buckles to adjust and loosen on their own. Coming from Bell helmets I had to get used to adjusting the straps by pulling to center them each wear no biggie for better comfort. Speaking of comfort the dial to tighten in the back is much better than Bell helmets. The MIPS technology allows the helmet to move slightly while staying right to your head to reduce injury in a collision. As a former racer, courier, and bicycle commuter I can feel how that would help. I hope I never need it Overall the best helmet I've ever owned.

Safer Helmet At Lower Price
I saw an expert review rating this helmet very high. I wanted to get the technologically advanced MIPS feature which it has. The helmet is very lightweight, has a lot of vents to keep me cooler on long rides in summer heat. I passed up the dark red and black helmet that would have looked great with my bike in order to get the bright white color that would be more visible to motorists. It is lighter weight than the good Bell helmet I replaced, and the straps are lighter, more flexible material. Very pleased with this helmet.

Basic, But Lives Up To All Expectations
Bought this to replace a 30 year old LLBean helmet (yeah, I know...) It doesn't have much in the way of bells & whistles, but it fits well, it seems sturdy, it's lightweight, and hopefully I will never know how good it is in a crash. It does have the recently ballyhhoo'd MIPS suspension system, supposedly to help lessen or dissipate impact in a sideways or sliding crash. I can see how it works if I slide the helmet back and forth a bit, but I cannot speak for its real usefulness. It's there, and it seem s to work as advertised. Considering the price, this is a good value, for a sturdy piece of name brand gear. What more would you need?
