Great Helmet!

I've been biking for over 4 decades and got into the Giro brand around 1990. They have great MTN and road bike helmets. The oval rather than rounder shape of many helmets fits me better, doesn't float or rock, does not need extra padding. Great coverage without being bulky. Performance has been great. Newer helmets with MIPS have maintained sizing and quality. Recently had a road bike crash incident and this helmet saved my noggin. Immediately ordered a received the same helmet model and -no surprise- it fits exactly as well as the one I had before. I am pleasantly surprised that the price is so low. I do wish I could get a Giro MIPS with more vents for the hot days of summer, but I haven't seen them in my size. Please note this particular helmet only comes in a very small size 50 cm-57cm.

Yanks My Hair Out

The MIPS system has tiny little buttons inside that catch my hair when I take off the helmet. As if helmet head isn't bad enough! And I could wear a bandana to protect my strands, but that defeats the purpose of the air holes helping my head cool!

Too Small--size Guide Inaccurate

I love the look of this helmet, and if it fit, I would have been quite pleased. My head measures 56 centimeters, and the fit guide indicates this helmet fits up to 57 centimeters. It does not. Expanding it to the largest size, I could only get it on the back part of my head at an angle. I had to return it. If you're ordering online, know that it only fits up to 55 centimeters.

A helmet is always the most important part of your ride. MIPS, Multidirectional, Impact, Protection, System. Decreases the sheer forces to the brain at impact, should your head lead protection during a crash, this is the best protection offered. After a collision, replace. It could be the saving part of your ride.

Great Helmet, Measured My Daughter's Head, Fits Perfectly

Christmas gift because my daughter started riding her bike again after college, and riding without one isn't an option. I've been riding for over 40 years, but she rides recreationally so didn't need to spend $150+ for a safe helmet. This helmet was less than half that, had latest MIPS tech, and was sized for women with wide adjustability. You can find great equipment across many budget ranges at Dick's. Glad I gave it a go.
