Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Engineering Bought this for Christmas for my kids. The GOTek is an awesomely engineered basketball hoop. I previously have owned a Lifetime unit and this thing is leaps and bounds a better portable. I was concerned at first with the sturdiness of the backboard but was pleasantly surprised by its play. Worth the extra over Lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hoop I did some investigation and was going back and forth on getting this or a Spalding that had a glass backboard. I caught a sale and decided to go with this. Very happy. Wanted the glass backboard do it was more lifelike for my boys to practice on. While not exactly like the gym for shooting pretty close. Was incredibly easy to follow instructions on putting it together and even survived first wind storm no problem. Would recommend definitely worth the extra money than the cheap 199 set ups.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall Pretty Good You can forget trying to put this thing together in a couple hours or whatever it is they promise. No way. It took my Dad and I 6 hours. BUT, it was worth it in the end. Good quality goal. However, we got a nor'easter one night that blew it over onto my truck. No bueno. But, in fairness, I didn't have the ballast all the way full because I wanted to be able to roll it around. One disappointing thing is that I can't roll it into my garage when not in use like I wanted to, because there is a metal ring on the back that prevents you from lowering it far enough to get through the doorway. Bummer. But, again, some of these complaints are on me. The quality of the goal is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, portable hoop I bought this a month ago. Overall I liked its durability and appeared more sturdy than comparable Lifetime models. Assembly took about 2 hours. It was the best portable hoop that I could find. Disadvantages: my local Dick's stated that they will no longer sell it, but I called the company and they intend to still manufacture it and will honor the 5 year warranty. Also, they do not sell pads for the hoop at Dick's, so the ball tends to go many directions after you make a basket and it hits the support bars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exceeded Expectations I was worried the backboard would have dead spots and shake when you hit certain parts of the backboard. I was pleasantly surprised; the backboard is solid and allows really nice English from both sides. Make sure you have a socket set and putting it together will take you about 2 hours. all the screws and parts are labeled, so you don't have to worry about using the wrong part or screw. Overall, I think it was a great purchase. I have previously owned a Gorilla back board, which is by far the best. This is #2 on my list. Great hoop for the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality Goal I purchased a spalding goal and ended up returning it. Very poor quality and poles were manufactured with holes not aligned. I decided to try the Goliath goal. The Instructions were super clear and easy to follow. It took about 2 hours. Parts appear high quality and much more sturdy than the Spalding I tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legit Hoop! I bought this hoop a few weeks ago and I believe that it is one of the best performing portable hoops on the market! The assembly was easy and the instructions were good (there is also a YouTube video that is useful to assist). It took two adults a few hours to complete the assembly. The glass look of the backboard really sets this unit apart from the competition! My kids can raise and lower the hoop height with ease (my son’s are 10 & 12). We’ve been playing on it for a week and it seems very durable so far. We filled the base with water and I plan on adding H2old base gel for stability purposes. I believe that you get what you pay for...and spending the extra money on this unit over the others was well worth it in my opinion!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Impossible to move While the product was easy enough to put together (though it still took 3-4 hours), I cannot now move it. I initially filled it up half way and couldn't budge it at all. I looked for a drain, but there is none! After trying a couple siphons and a shop vac, I was finally able to get most of the water out. Now I still can only move it if I exert a ton of effort. Definitely unable to move it out of the way of the car and move it back every day. Right now it's just sitting in my driveway blocking my garage. I'm 41 a 41 year old male in good shape, so this shouldn't be that difficult. Unfortunately, one reason I bought the product was because I was told it can be easily maneuvered. Forget it, you may as well by an in-ground system.
