Love It!

We love this goal. Great quality and very easy to put together.

So Easy To Assemble

I don't know how anyone could find the assembly difficult. I put it together by myself in two and a half hours. And that was with breaks. Interesting how some people say a little wind blew it over and others say it's so heavy you can't move it. Those who say it blew over must not be putting in enough water or sand. Hoop seems of decent quality.

Envy Of The Neighborhood!

This is the best portable hoop in the neighborhood. Its sturdy, solid and easy to assemble compared to the others i have done.

Rusty Rim

I bought this a year or two ago. The original backboard was cracked, but they sent a replacement within a week or so. The paint started chipping off the rim within six months and at this point is almost completely gone revealing a rusty rim (not to mention dropping paint chips all over our patio).

Bad Quality

Got rusty within a couple months of purchase. Plastic pieces started cracking and breaking off

Legit Hoop!

I bought this hoop a few weeks ago and I believe that it is one of the best performing portable hoops on the market! The assembly was easy and the instructions were good (there is also a YouTube video that is useful to assist). It took two adults a few hours to complete the assembly. The glass look of the backboard really sets this unit apart from the competition! My kids can raise and lower the hoop height with ease (my son’s are 10 & 12). We’ve been playing on it for a week and it seems very durable so far. We filled the base with water and I plan on adding H2old base gel for stability purposes. I believe that you get what you pay for...and spending the extra money on this unit over the others was well worth it in my opinion!!

Very Happy With This Portable Basketball Goal

I bought this for our family for Christmas, and am very happy with the purchase. The manufacturer should be commended on the excellent assembly instructions. The quality of the goal seems first rate. The base provides good stability. I think the backboard material provides good rebound action for balls bouncing off it. The height is easily adjusted (half-foot increments).

Holds Very Steady When Me And The Kids Are Shooting Baskets. It Is Better Than I Expected.

This is a very sturdy goal. We love it. When it cold below freezing I added anti freeze to the water in the base; otherwise, it would have frozen and busted open. This goal is worth the money. Better than I expected.

Good Mid-level Hoop

Assembled myself but even with 2 people would probably take 2.5-3hrs. Took me longer by myself and I’m told by others I’m “handy” so just be prepared when it doesn’t take 1.5. That’s probably for the guys that assemble 3-4 a day. Only 3-5 places that you need another hand. Everything comes well marked and packaged and the directions are pretty straight forward. The hoops is pretty sturdy and looks great. Had a few comments already how nice it looks. The ball doesn’t get the same bounce it would with glass but at this price point it’s a good value and seems like it will last a while. My son has already been trying his half court shot with friend and hasn’t tipped over or even got close. Also have had a few rain and wind storm and had the hoop up 9-10ft and never got close to tipping over. Just be sure to have water in it. Can’t go wrong w

Set Up Was A Breeze

Wow, what an awesome solid portable hoop so far. They made set up super easy with their directions and packaging. Kids were playing on it about 2 hours after opening the box. So far what I saw, very solid hoop. Glad we bought

Overall Pretty Good

You can forget trying to put this thing together in a couple hours or whatever it is they promise. No way. It took my Dad and I 6 hours. BUT, it was worth it in the end. Good quality goal. However, we got a nor'easter one night that blew it over onto my truck. No bueno. But, in fairness, I didn't have the ballast all the way full because I wanted to be able to roll it around. One disappointing thing is that I can't roll it into my garage when not in use like I wanted to, because there is a metal ring on the back that prevents you from lowering it far enough to get through the doorway. Bummer. But, again, some of these complaints are on me. The quality of the goal is great.

Easy Assembly, Sturdy Portable Hoop!

I purchased this several weeks ago and my son and I have enjoyed it! The reviews stating the assembly is easy aren't joking. All the hardware is sealed individually on a cardboard sheet, and the directions are clear. These are some of the best assembly instructions and packaging that I have ever seen. The hoop is sturdy and appears it will have a long life! Don't hesitate purchasing if you're looking for a nice mid-level portable basketball hoop!!

Impressed

Very happy with this goaliath go tek 54 inch. Had heard horror stories about other brands being poor quality and a real pain to put together. Did quite a bit of research and this got the best reviews for a portable hoop as far as i could tell. And I can see why. As another reviewer also wrote, probably the most thorough, easy to follow directions for any large diy 'assemble at home' purchase. Directions were fantastic. I an not handy. Took me several hours over a few different days when i could find the time, but directions were so clear, made it easy for someone mechanically challenged like myself. Very sturdy. Sharp looking. The only drawback i can see so far is that once you attach the backboard, it is not easy to move around, even with the wheels; very heavy. i guess it's easier the more you lower the hoop, but still. And I'm disappointed there does not seem to be a drain in the base to drain out the water if you wanted to. But other than that, this is a very high quality portable hoop. Not a piece of junk. Legit. Easy to put together and high quality.

Quality Build

Bought this few weeks ago, so far so good. Big base, very sturdy, used base gel for the filling. Highly recommend that product for the ballast. Rim reacts almost like the ones inside a gym. Backboard better than expected from a portable unit.
