Goliath 54" Polycarbonate In Ground Hoop

My son is turning 6 in August and this made a perfect gift for him! This was done with just 2 people(myself and my father) we broke it up in to a couple steps and it was very straight forward. I had a friend with an auger dig the hole out the night before, I finished it with a shovel and post hole digger. My father and I put the bottom post in the next day and that's where thr patience comes in as the concrete needs 5-7 days minimum to set up. Then you can pour the concrete into the pole(as instructed) and continue on. We went as far as the middle and top pole, then the arms. We left the backboard off as I wanted to let the concrete inside and out set up further (you didn't have to) but I wanted it to be in a full couple weeks before adding the backboard. Backboard and raising/lowering rod are very simple to assemble with 2 people. Important to note, we had to losen the upper arms a little to get the tube for the crank device inbetween the welds for the holes. No big deal at all, only took an extra minute. We also used a trick I saw, backing my pickup truck up to the hoop and working out of the bed of the truck instead of uncomfortably from a ladder. Its only been in a week or so now, but all in all I've been happy with it. Spent hours already as a family out using it and it was half the price of the high end one with the 4x4 post.. yes, the 4x4 is heavier duty but this one works just fine!

Great But Crooked

Product is solid, but the instructions leave a bit to be desired. We lined the front pole accordingly, but the goal itself it still slightly crooked.

Broken With Dried Cement And No Hoop!

I purchased this hoop for our kiddos, and followed the directions during install. After digging the hole and mixing cement, I lowered the lower pole into the cement and the plastic rings holding the inner pole to the outer pole SNAPPED! I now have a filled hole of hardened cement, and no basketball hoop installed thanks to these components failing. Now I will need to figure out how to break apart all of this cement, and if I can get the right replacement pieces to finish an install. If you are reading this, I'd recommend going with another company or spending money elsewhere, because this has been a disaster for me.
