Rated 5 out of 5 by from We are so pleased with this basketball goal We bought this goal on Black Friday and gave it at Christmas so it sat in the garage until early April when I put it in. I'm not the most handy guy but I was able to follow the instructions easily although DO follow the instructions. You will need at least four adults when you go to install the backboard on the pole. I was a little worried about it shaking based on other reviews but I felt really good when I started to assemble because the pole is very heavy duty, so I'm just guessing maybe the company upgraded this. Anyway, we have very little shake,...just a top quality goal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for the price I bought this for my home, mainly for my 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. The goal has some wobble as has been reviewed, but they all do, so I am okay with it. I dug my hole to specs, and actually went a little wider than recommended and used extra rebar as well. I let the concrete set for about a week due to humid conditions and rain. Assembly of the goal was actually pretty easy. About an hour and a half for the post and goal assembly, and about an hour for the backboard and rim. I have not assembled the yard protector at this point, and not sure if I will. All in all, happy with the product. Definitely worth the money if you are looking for a recreational basketball goal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant hoop for a reasonable price. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews regarding the pole/backboard shaking. With any home system there will be some shake...this backboard shakes a little, but nothing to warrant any concern. Setup is what you expect...it takes several days. I did a few things in addition to the instructions - I added tent stakes in the concrete (along with the provided rebar) and filled the pole with sand. You have to caulk the base and the crease where the two poles meet. No big deal. Filling it with sand allows you to take the system if you move (vs. filling with concrete). I am very satisfied with this system!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Awesome! The system was easy to assemble.Your satisfaction will be entirely based on how well you construct the foundation.Take your time and follow the instructions.Dig the hole to the width and depth as specified and fill it with the directed amount of concrete.Don't take shortcuts. The system that I installed has no wobble or vibration and the backboard is pure.Well worth the money if the instructions are followed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality and easy installation after the base is concreted in I bought this hoop for our new custom half court we had made out of our RV parking area. This hoop has everything. My favorite feature is the hydraulic lift system for changing the height of the hoop. I have 3 kids ranging from 9-15 so they all have different heights that they like the hoop to be at. Because of the easy lift system, my 9 year old can go out and lower the hoop herself, after her 15 year old brother has been using it at NBA regulation height. Also, the yard defender is a must for an at home basketball court. I would have ended up buying the yard defender at $200 down the road if it hadn't come with this hoop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice product First of all, the instructions were very easy to follow. Most anyone should be able to put this up, but you will need extra bodies to install the backboard. We just installed this weekend and have played several games. The backboard has such good bounce to it and the rim is solid. Just like being at a gym. The only turnoff is the movement of the goal. Seems like the weight of the backboard makes it wobble more than expected, but it really did not bother our game. For the price ( and I looked for a long time at all products), it is a good deal. I may try some ideas of others to reduce the wobble a bit. Including adding concrete to the inside of the pole. I did use larger rebar than what was provided in the kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid construction; feels durable; fair price A very stable in-ground basketball hoop. Assembly was minimal; you will need 3+ people to attach the tempered backboard (heavy). Bottom line, as in everything in life, you pay for what you get; do you want something that lasts 10+ years or 20+ years? That difference could be a thousand dollars. Goliath 60" In-Ground with Yard Guard was on sale for $599.99; Goalrilla same size is $1,400.00. Let's be honest, this hoop is for your average family; not for a 6'8" 245lb son who has a scholarship for a major college. One more thing, take a look at your best portable...$279-$300; I'll spend the extra $300 for something this solid and without breaking the bank. NOTE: It's imperative you follow the directions for the anchor bolt mounting system; this ultimately provides the best stability. I dug deeper and added extra rebar; worth it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shaky and Wobbly This may be the first review I've ever written, but I feel compelled to keep others from making the mistake of purchasing this hoop. I had it professionally installed but the unit shakes and wobbles after every single shot...layup, jumper, etc. I contacted the installer and in so many words he basically said that I'm not the first to bring this up and "you get what you pay for." The unit looks nice and the installation was done properly as far as I could tell. They waited 72 hours after the concrete was poured to come back and put up the hoop. But the shaking and wobbling is beyond annoying. I knew that this hoop, given the price, would not be 100% rock solid like a hoop that is three times the cost. But this is ridiculous. I still had to pay $750 and an extra $350 for install...in my book that's a lot of money. A point that the installer made and one that I agree with is that the backboard is almost too nice for the pole. As in, it's a thicker glass, a heavy backboard. It does not belong on a two-piece, thin-gauge 4" pole. This product offering shouldn't even exist. If I could do it again I would either go way cheaper and at least save some money with a shaky hoop, or save some money and wait until I could afford a more expensive, sturdier hoop.
