Easy Ordering Process

We got this after viewing the display in store. It's a big purchase so we were a bit apprehensive. The rim is amazing and looks great but is super heavy. We got the delivery and it came in 3 large boxes. We are replacing our driveway so we had the concrete guys put in the base and a separate company put in the hoop. DSG does have an installation team as well, but know this takes around a week to install since you have to let the concrete set. This is a serious hoop and the kids love it.

Terrible Installation Service

Been working close to two months to get my hoop installed. Was told installation service would call but after 3.5 weeks I ended up tracking down a number, going down a wormhole and multiple people to figure out what is going on. Missdig came out but took several weeks and paint disappearing to get an installation service date. Footings were installed but had to dispose of dirt myself, do not think they went down deep enough, and scheduled an install of the hoop in shorter time than the manufacturer recommended concrete cure time. Therefore I canceled the too early install date and they still came. Each time, you have to wait for at least 20-30 minutes on hold before reaching someone.

Wow. Terrible Assembly Service And Nobody Cares

Nice goal but do not order from Dicks if you want it assembled. The entire process with AIT Logistics is a nightmare from start to ...... I don't know if it will ever get finished. Over a month later, and we have half a goal laying in the driveway blocking the garage and driveway. This is apparently going to be the case for a while as the tech has not/will not return. AIT says it can take a week or two from the time they deliver the goal and dig the hole until when they return to finish. Up front I was told it would get done the next day. I finally got the tech to respond and he said maybe next week because it is currently too hot. The likelihood of a refund (partial or total) is zero, I am told. The likelihood of me recommending Dicks is also now zero.

Complete Nightmare

Dick's Sporting Goods has been ok to deal with but their 3rd party install/delivery "AIT" has been a complete nightmare. We bought the goal in April. AIT didn't call to get utilities checked until June. When we finally had an appt for delivery and dig/concrete pour, they no call/no showed due to a little rain in the overnight. They moved the appt to 3 days later without telling us.

Great Product, Terrible Customer Service (Ait)

Bought this in Feb 2026, finally installed on June 12th 2026. Terrible customer service. When an install date was finally given we were out of town. New date would have had us waiting till end of June. We were forced to cancel our trip to avoid waiting longer for the install we were told would have been completed at the beginning of May. AIT customer service is terrible. Continuous lies regarding the delay of install. If you buy this hoop, find a different installer or purchase else where to avoid AIT.

Goalrilla 60" Is A Rock-solid Choice

We bought this for our grandchildren to replace an old acrylic, portable pole and hoop that had seen better days. The old hoop would fall over every time the wind picked up and the backboard and hoop were not great quality. The Goalrilla 60" that replaced it was a drastic improvement. Yes, the installation was tough, especially the foundation but we got it done. We even beefed up the foundation with additional steel stakes driven into the bottom of the 48" deep hole and also added additional reinforcement bars. The glass backboard is amazing, giving us a real "gym" type feel. The 5" square one piece pole is rock-solid. Ver y little, if any, movement on a shot from any distance. The height adjuster is so easy to use and very accurate. We did need extra help attaching the glass backboard because it is pretty heavy, but that's a good thing. Count on having at least 3 strong adults to lift and keep it steady for attachment to the arms. The Goalrilla 60" compares very favorably with the MegaSlam hoop and pole but at significant less cost. Only real difference is the MegaSlam has a 6" square pole and our Goalrilla has a 5" square pole. But I don't see how that extra inch makes a difference because our pole does not move at all. Other than that, very little difference at all. The designs are very nearly identical. Overall, we are very happy with our new Goalrilla 60". It has proved to be the right choice for us.

Sturdy And Well Made

My kid had been bugging me for an in-ground hoop and Dick's made it super easy to order. However, the installation process did not gone smoothly, and took much, much longer than I thought; but that is not the fault of Dick's.

Goalrilla. Not Happy Up To This Point.

I bought this over a month ago and still have not heard from the install company. I have called 3 times and they keep saying that it will be scheduled soon. Also, when I went to pick up the basketball set it was not easy at all. They couldn’t find my order for over one hour. I can’t comment on the item because it is still in the box.

Good Hoop

Easy to install. Had previous had a mega slam which I felt was better quality however the price point was much higher. For this price point it is a good hoop. Kids love it and it hasn’t fallen down yet!
