Check Your Base Threads Before Install.

There is no doubt this goal is built to last. I chose this goal over their sister company Goalrilla as it had lower goal height for kids and according to other reviews less flex. I did not give it 5 star because of installation issues. There was a critical issue with the main base that goes into the concrete. 2 of the 5 threads would not accept the bolts. They warn you to check this at the very beginning. I did and would advise you to not skip this step. I’m a handy guy so I had a tap and die set. I had to carefully clean up the threads with a 1/2-13 tap. Once I did that, the bolts when in just fine. Most people probably don’t have this and would have to go through the trouble of shipping it back and getting a new one.

Backboard Does Not Hold Up

We purchased this in 2017 and have watched our 3 boys and the entire neighborhood grow into hoopers. My main complaint is that the unit is covered with a lifetime warranty, but the paint on the backboard does not hold up. It does not look like a premium product and clearly was not designed for its use. If you are planning to install this hoop outside, exposed to the weather, expect to need to purchase another backboard in less than 5 years as it is not covered by warranty.

Nice Hoop But Shakes A Bit

I bought this hoop based off the great reviews. I read other reviews of hoops shaking when a ball hits it, hoping this one doesn’t but it does a bit. Still happy with the purchase, just don’t like the shaking for the price compared to other hoops.
