I had the Old version of this Foam roller, It cracked due to being hollow in the middle. But I purchased this new one, it has supports inside it. It works even better due to it not being able to flex. I would recommend this for someone who needs a foam roller. I have purchased many, and this has been the long lasting one that works.

I bought the larger size this time, to replace a smaller and original hollow one I had to leave when moving to another state. There is nothing that matches this product for me - but I use it differently, in my massage practice. The softer density allows me to press into a muscle (covered by a sheet of course) and allow the muscle to relax and lengthen. It also helps connective tissue (fascia) to release and glide back into place, and I can feel the direction and tempo of how the layers of tissue want to release. Because it's like a large thumbprint it can gently sink in (I never use it as a roller - instead I press and sometimes twist); it distributes the pressure, so that it causes less pain but really gets the job done. This has saved me from thumb and shoulder injury! The original lasted me at least 2 years. I'm not crazy about the "fins", but understand the supportive construction. I will never be without one of these for myofascial release as long as I practice massage therapy. Definite thumbs up!

I have never owned or used a massage roller so I chose mine primarily off of others reviews. I see why this had great reviews. I love it! It is durable and easy to use. It even comes with a booklet showing different ways to use it, which was an added bonus.

I really have never used a foam roller but I wanted to speed up being sore after working out. It is firm and definitely more firm than the Styrofoam ones at the gym but its not nearly as firm as the reviews made me believe. Its really nice if you want more pressure, just adjust how much weight you are putting on it. I like the length, its perfect for my back and legs without having to move it as much.I noticed a big improvement in my recovery time and ive even started doing it a little before I exercise. The best part is comes with a manual that fits inside the hollow center that gives a bunch of foam rolling exercises and stretches!Click YES if this review was helpful. If you have a question, leave a comment and I'll answer you! Feedback helps me improve my review! Thank you!!!

Works great. Online you can find plenty of uses for this device. I particularly like to roll my back over it. It's like giving myself a chiropractic adjustment and massage at the same time.

It's good. The outer core is much softer than the Trigger Point roller, if you're familiar with those of similar design. Cannot achieve as deep massage but this is good. It is a bit wider though which is great.

Superb roller. We searched a lot, tried several at local stores. This roller is just right: gentle enough not to hurt; yet very solid.

This was recommended to me by a friend. The first couple uses didn't feel good since my back hurt. After a week it felt fantastic. If you have chronic back pain, this roller is a must have!

I have a love/hate relationship with this roller. It works very well and does its job. But oh, man, it hurts. I'm saying this after going on very long runs and being very sore. Rolling around on the floor on this thing is very effective but be prepared for pain.

Being relatively new to foam rolling I went back and forth over whether to get something like this or a typical foam roller with a foam core (the kind most gyms have) and whether to get something longer or shorter. I'm very glad I got this. It's a little bit firmer than the ones at my gym due to its hard plastic tubing, but as I've gotten used to foam rolling I've grown to appreciate the ability to add more pressure if and when I'd like. It's surely not the firmest roller out there, but that's not what I was looking for. It's also the perfect length for me - it's easy to store yet is still large enough to get the job done. I also like that it's hollow so that I can store resistance bands, massage balls, and other smaller items inside it.It definitely helps ease sore muscles which was the primary reason for my purchase. It seems the jury is out as to whether or not foam-rolling actually enhances athletic performance, but regardless it makes me more likely to get off my butt and exercise rather than lying around because I'm too sore. Plus it's just plain fun to roll your limbs around on the floor.Lastly, as a novice foam-roller, the small spiral-bound manual was definitely an added bonus. While it didn't explain everything in tremendous detail, it was definitely a good start. Besides, what else is the internet for?

it works well and is appropriate in length and width. i think the plastic core cylinder is already cracked, but roller does not deform while in use. great work stretching and massaging the lower back.
