Can't Even Inflate This Ball

I bought this ball quite a while ago to replace one that will no longer stay inflated. It remained in the box for a long time before I tried to inflate it with the foot pump that came in the packaging. After assembling per packaged instructions and working the pump for 15-20 minutes, nothing appeared to be happening. The ball didn't look like it was inflating even a little bit! I checked that air was coming out the pump hose, tried my old pump but it doesn't fit in the opening, and even tried to use my bike pump (it doesn't fit the fill opening either) without making any progress at all. Rechecked the directions and original packaging but I didn't find the plug to put in even if I could get some air into the ball. Very unhappy with this product! I have to throw this piece of junk out and get a new ball but I won't be getting it at Dick's.
