Overall Good Product

At first, I liked that you could remove the weight bags to adjust the vest to your liking, but that was before I realized how hard it was to put them back in. Overall decent product, but I would probably go with a plate system if I could do it again.

I've had this weighted vest for ten years now and I really enjoy it. I am not a fitness gym type person - I don't regularly spend time in a gym or lift weights. I wanted something to add to my walking routine to build some resistance. This vest is excellent - it evenly distributes the weight and you can add weight to it, or take weight out of it. the sizing is really good (I'm like a 10/12 pants but closer to an XL for the bust area). I hang it on a strong, think plastic or wooden hanger. I can do work around the house and wear it at the same time. This is the time of year where I realize I've put a little too much padding on with the winter chill and this vest helps me get back into shape. And I don't need a replacement even after 10 years this Feb, 2022.

I’m not new to working out but I’m no armature. I love this vest, it’s comfortable it sits well on my chest. As a female I find this very important. It super easy and adjustable. I bought a 20lb. I love that I can take the weighted little bags out and wash the vest. If you’re looking for a solid vest I’d highly recommend this one. It’s not the nicest looking one around but I find that’s what comes with the cost.

I'm a pretty big guy, 250, it fits fairly well and is easily hidden underneath my shirts and everything. Kind of annoying to wash when taking out all of the weights, but still a very nice buy. Wish there was a way to add more weight.

Very comfortable, even in heat (although I haven't tried it in 90+ temperatures). At first you may feel it adds nothing to your workout, but give it 10-15 minutes & you will be quite aware you're carrying 10 extra pounds. Even walking on a level surface seems to work the legs more than when not wearing it. It really helps you get more out of your workout. Recommend it very highly.

I am pretty happy with this walking vest for the price. I am a 5' 7" woman, of medium build. It was a little big in the shoulders. I wish those were adjustable. Otherwise, it definitely makes a difference on a walk and adds good resistance.

Great product. I purchased this for an Underground bootcamp program. I loved it so mych that several others in the group purchased the same one. best one for the price. Downfall..the vest does bounce on shoulders when jumping up and down which can get annoying, but for the price its fine. Also note- this item is silver, not white like the picture looks.

It is well built and easy to adjust. I use it daily since i can't make it to the gym. It makes everyday activities a bit more of a workout. I like the removable bottle holder its a perk i was not expecting! would like a little more weight but cant complain for the price!

Not For Running

This vest is not for running- anything over 20 lbs loaded into it will cause it to swing everywhere and come apart. I used it but only by having someone duct-tape me into it every time I started a run.Other than that, it's sturdy, a good value, and easy to use for calisthenics, push-ups, jumps, etc.

I was very pleased with the prompt delivery. This vest is comfortable to wear and gives me a nice work out. I like the extra weight for the light resistance and gentle "impact" it provides to build muscle and bone strength. I even bike ride with the vest. I've had mine over 2 years, and it is finally showing some age ...slight gives and tears in fabric, but hey, I've put it through the ringer...use it 3 to 4x a week. I never did use the water bottle attachment though. Too floppy.UPDATE: So my first review was 7 years ago. I bought another vest because I finally am seeing some wear on the Velcro straps on my first vest. It is still usable, but over time, it has gotten dirty and I figured just get another one. I still bike with it but I am also power-walking up hills with it. I love that the weights are dispersed on the back and front because then you don't have an uneven pull just on your back and risk injury. This vest is solidly made - the stitches in my older vest never tore (although the fabric thinned creating small holes where the weights constantly rubbed during the work outs - but after 7 years of excessive use - that's nothing!). My new vest is black. At first I thought I'd be disappointed because black holds in heat vs the grey, but then it also won't show dirt as much either. This vest is only $5 more than when I bought it 7 years ago. This company puts out reliable product that reflects highly on their standards and excellent design.

This vest was just as described and the fit was great. It has wide shoulders so the comfort is good. Since I had never used a walking vest, I wanted to start out as recommended with lighter than 10 pounds so removed some of the weights. These were not so easy to get out of the pouches but that means they are securely held in place. I am well pleased with this GoFit walking vest.

Adds an additional condition to your walk. Makes you work a little harder - breathe a little harder. Don't have a lot of time to work out so need to make the most of the dog walks. I now have a weighted vest and ankle weights. My speed walk with my dogs is now a work out for me too. Haven't washed the vest yet - can't comment on that.

I'm 5'4" and I walk 6 days a week between 1-2 hrs each trip and find this vest pretty comfortable to wear. Because the weight is evenly distributed it doesn't feel like I'm walking around with an additional 10-lb's (that's nice!). The vest has padded extra wide shoulder straps, but I don't use them much:) After sinching the waste I find I'm so short in the torso that the vest actually rests on my hips and lifts the vest off of my shoulders. This is ok by me since I don't like weight pulling on my shoulders anyway. The dual stomach Velcro waste tabs are nice for making a snug fit, but I have a smaller chest and find it has a tendency to gap and look/feel bulky up top. I wish it had a second set of straps for the chest area. The placement of the weights is nice too (front and back only-none on the sides). I really only have one major complaint...I wish it had an easier way to pull the weights out (little sand bags). This vest has very small slits and it's a pain to remove all the bags when I want to wash the thing. I think a single Velcro flap covering the tops of each row for quick removal would be a huge time saver. All-in-all a good product and I'm glad I bought it.
