I wanted to love this. The concept is great... a golf simulator at home for $100? Sounds like a dream. The unboxing experience felt promising, the build quality is actually solid, and if it worked the way the Golf Daddy YouTube videos show, this would be a screaming deal. But unfortunately, it doesn’t. From the start, I ran into shots not registering, massive lag and delay, and most frustrating of all, when it did register my shots, all were nearly identical distance readings regardless of swing speed. I thought maybe I’d be the exception, especially after seeing the negative reviews. I figured I could tweak it, or that others were just being overly critical. I was wrong. I gave it every chance to succeed. But after repeated attempts, it became clear this is a great idea trapped in an unfinished product. The simulator shown in their marketing clips is either a much more advanced version or simply not what’s currently being shipped. Unless there’s a major update to the software and shot tracking tech, this product just isn’t ready for prime time. I really wanted to be a fan, but I can’t recommend it in its current state.
