The rib isn't as noticeable as I had hoped - grips with built-in reminders seem to have a more pronounced ridge. I think it's because the strips are pretty wide [1/4"] - which is probably to give the adhesive side enough surface area to stick to the shaft. I've played a few rounds with them in most of my clubs, but it feels less "precise" than the grips I have with built-in reminders on the other clubs. One factor could have been that I build up my grips. I applied the rib to the shaft, then added 2 wraps - the build-up tape over the rib could be rounding/softening the profile a bit. It might be better to add the 2 wraps first, then the rib. There are 2 alignment plugs that go inside the shaft butt - one for steel shafts and one for graphite. The steel plug fit perfectly, but graphite plug was too thick for my fairway and hybrid shafts, so I had to eye-ball the location for those clubs - the graphite plug needs to be longer with more taper since graphite shaft wall thicknesses vary quite a bit. Overall, it's a decent kit that gives you "some" help with your grip alignment - it's certainly better than nothing if you want a reminder but your favorite grips aren't available with them.
