Two Defective Boards
I ordered this based off the good reviews. But my experience was anything but good. The board arrived in a timely fashion but out of the box the one side of the board didn't work. It was just dead. I contacted support, went through that whole process and finally got a return label to mail it back to the manufacturer. I should have just taken it straight back to Dicks Sporting. Customer service was fairly straight forward and easy to work with. Took about 2 days of back and forth email to get a return label. But now I had to box it all back up and drop it off at a UPS location and then I had to wait about two weeks to get a replacement. About a week for them to get the board and process an exchange and another week to get a new one. The new one worked well enough for about a week and then it started vibrating every time it was used, like something was loose and spinning around inside. This time customer service was very slow to respond and would receive emails this time in broken English that were hard to understand. After I was asked to calibrate the board again, even though I had indicated we tried that a dozen times, I was asked to do it again. Then support finally told me it was likely the motherboard was bad and I should contact the seller. What are the odds of two bad boards in a row? If you end up with a bad board, just take it back to the store, it's not worth all the back and forth. At the end of the day, I would just avoid this brand. I can see the occasional bad board making it through. Things happen in shipping, but there shouldn't be two broken boards in a row like that. That just comes down to QA.
