Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hold-down straps keep coming loose. Unusable at highway speed. I've never used the rack over 40mph, yet the stiff hold-down straps keep trying to uncurl, thus the holes slide right over the four little nubs. The material is so slippery and brittle that one of my hold-down straps comes loose every time since its first use. Very disappointed in this product, which seemed very promising at first because of it's easy, quick setup and installation. My hopes were high.I've owned the carrier three weeks but no longer have the box. Hoping I can exchange it or get a refund. Wishing I'd never sold my old Bones carrier. That was rock solid. The axiom holds true here: You get what you pay for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's just .... OK Honestly just wanted a cheap bike rack to go from A-B and saw this had decent reviews. I'll say it's OK for the price, but definitely not spectacular. The straps make me nervous as you are securing them by pressing 4 large buttons into slightly smaller holes (on each strap)...that made me nervous. In one recent trip, I looked back and it looked like my bike was a superman cape behind my car. I kid you not, the bike actually maneuvered itself to be horizontal on the rack. I found a bungie cord in my trunk and secured it back down. Like I said - it works if you need a cheap bike rack....but like a previous poster said, it is a stressful ride between point A and B.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Grabber 2Bike Trunk Rack The straps on the rack ripped during the first use of the rack, on a very busy street, on the way to a biking event. The damages cost some money to repair the bike. Three times what the rack cost. The rack was properly installed, this was not the issue. The rack is cheaply made. The straps are a thin, nondurable plastic. This rack seems to be incompatible with wome's bikes that are not road bikes (regarding weight and seat/handlebar position). I purchased an attachment beam that felt of much better quality than the whole rack itself. It cost almost as much too. The rack may be fine with kid's bikes. My advice: Save up and get a rack of quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad straps Just bought this rack with my diamondback (needed to get it home). The straps won't stay closed. Will be returning for anbetter one. Don't waste your money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as designed This is a low cost bicycle rack that does the job when used properly. You have to make sure the straps are nice and snug I go further to secure them by wrapping them and double knotting the ends of the straps to prevent them from flapping around in the wind. The rack isn't very good at keeping bikes protected from eachother, but no rack of this design is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Great for 2 Bikes I've used this rack for the past year on a car with a spoiler. It's true that it might scratch the car; however, it was my fault for not tightening it enough in the first place. It's just fine for transporting one bike or maybe one adult's bike and one child's bike, but 2 adult bikes are nearly impossible to get on this rack. When you elongate the rack to hold 2 bikes, it puts it at a really weird angle and it's especially difficult to pick up a heavier bike and secure it. I'm always nervous that the straps are going to pop open and the bike will come loose. So if you're just transporting one bike, this rack might do fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT FOR 2 BIKES will not hold 2 bikes unless you want to damage them both and/or the second one fall off.the straps for one bike also fell off fent sturdy on the car but bike was very wobbly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not built for the highway It worked well while traveling under 30mph but as soon as I got on the highway the cheap straps began to rotate which shifted the angle of my bike. I didn't lose the bike but it did A LOT of moving around until I was able to get off the highway. I'll be taking my front tire off and putting the bike in my backseat until I can purchase a better rack. I wouldn't recommend this if you have to travel very far to ride.
