Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money So, I did my research before purchasing this trainer. I read the main contact to the wheel was plastic and tends to wear away. The contact wheel is actually metal on this product. It can be a bit noisy, but for the price I am happy with it; I tend to block it out after a few minutes. Assembly was super easy and easy to understand. When moving the resistance wheel by hand it does not seem to have much difference between different settings. After putting a bike on I could feel the difference between the highest and lowest settings. I use a bike without quick release tires as well and have no difficulties mounting the bike. The base seems sturdy. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, awful customer service. I liked this product. It is as advertised, and seems sturdy in design. The one thing that I overlooked was that it didn't have an odometer (didn't think it through on my end). The problem that I had was the service at Dick's. I had to go there 3 times in total and wasted several hours trying to get my order corrected. The people I spoke to ranged from well meaning but ignorant of their company's procedures and policies (hence the reason for multiple visits), to indifferent. Will probably only use this company as a last resort/emergency in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I was disappointed I bought one of this exact model a year or 2 ago so I was excited to see them still available for purchase to use with my other bike. The first one I received was somehow damaged in shipping so I returned it and received a replacement a week later. It was undamaged so I unpacked it and began setting it up. It was then that I noticed a huge difference in the way the main component was manufactured. The rear axel carrier nut is no longer slotted in order to receive the bike's hub. I spent an hour conversing with the manufacturer's rep and at the end of it I was told that the change was made for the sake of standardization and that I would need to install a part on my bike's hub in order to use the new "improved" design. I said no thank you and I returned the trainer. I was really disappointed in all of this exchange as I was truly looking forward to using a second trainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from graber magnetic resistance bike trainer This is great. I'm keeping in shape over the winter. I can increase the resistance by changing gears on my bike. I did need to have assistance while installing (someone to steady the bike while I inserted the rear wheel into the device). You also have to buy a riser block for front wheel to have both front and rear wheels in alignment. I'm very happy this works so well. Very well made, sturdy and compact for storage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from only for a select few bikes I am so dissapointed in this as it looks like a perfect trainer, but it only works with quick release rear hubs, and none of my bikes have one. no way to use it with an internal hub. I'm looking for a cheap replacement wheel with a quick release but i haven't found one yet so i can switch my bike to a different wheel for training. no web assistance from the company and i haven't been able to talk to their tech support. they should warn you on the box it only works with quick release hubs, and should provide and adapter for a regular hub. bummer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for budding cyclists This trainer is easy to use and compact so as not to take up too much space. It's main downfall (I have put 2,000+ miles on this trainer) is twofold. First, the upper bound for resistance is too low for upper threshold and extreme efforts. Second, the trainer developed a lot more noise as time passed. I took it apart and added bicycle grease to the components which has greatly reduced the noise--but further lessened the resistance that I can achieve. A great, low end trainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good quality I'm always skeptical of buying something online, afraid that it might not be great quality. I am honestly REALLY happy with this product. It is very sturdy and easy to use. I never feel like it could fall over. We did buy the riser, based on another review, but feel like it would have been fine without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home Gym Must-have We have a work-out area in our basement for the winter months. I was skeptical I would use a bike trainer but went ahead with the purchase. We are happy we did. It makes for a perfect warm-up and cool-down activity before jumping on the rower or eliptical.First, the item works as advertised - it holds the bike securely in place. Second, we're using the Cycle-Ops block to elevate and level the bike and also hold the front wheel securely. Third, with my coupon I bought both items for just over a hundred bucks. My opinion: the Graber is a great value. Agreeing with other comments, the fancier bike trainers with shifting devices are probably not necessary for less-intensive people. Simply shift the bike's gears to change the intensity level.
