I absolutely love the Grayl system and honestly use it every single day. For long thru-hikes, I carry the 16 oz titanium version for cooking, and paired with a PocketRocket, it’s become my go-to setup — simple, lightweight, and really all I need. I also use the larger plastic version for everyday use. After years of use, I can confidently say Grayl has become one of my favorite and most trusted filtration systems out there. Reliable, versatile, and by far one of the best water filtration systems I’ve used.

I purchased additional cartridges for my bottles. I am stocking up for the future and will buy a couple more soon. Product is very easy to use and takes up very little space in your luggage or carry-on. I travel overseas with these bottles and have clean water everywhere I go. With the uncertainty of the water supply with mother nature events and everything else going on in the world I am confident I will have clean water wherever I go.

I bought it for a spare, when my original filter clogs up

Great filter design. Presentation is nice with the packaging and box it comes with too.

Backpacked the Paria Canyon using the filter from the few springs along the 40 mile hike. It worked great but it takes longer than 8-10 seconds as they state. More like 25-30 seconds and that’s from clear water and a new cartridge.

The new filter worked like I remember, thank you for sending a replacement for the filters that were extremely difficult to press. Love my geo press both the Ti and plastic are great. Use them for backpacking but also for some every day uses.

I don't know where they get this "8 seconds" to 24 ounces of purified water. First of all, this brand new filter took just over 20 seconds to fully press - that's pressing it on my kitchen floor using my 200 lb body weight per the directions. That's still not bad, but it's not "8 seconds" either. And, according to grayl, This brand new filter is over 2/3rds of the way to needing replacement, if as they say, it needs to be replaced if it takes 30 seconds or more to depress. Next, you're not getting 24 ouces of water out of a press. 2-4 ounces of water is trapped below the filter and never gets pressed through so you're only getting 20-22 ounces of purified water. In a hot humid environment where you need 3-4 liters of water per day, that ends up being a long time spent for finding water and constantly processing it. That's ok if you're staying in one place by a water source - not so much if you're hiking. I keep these as part of my home hurricane kit, but there are better and easier options.

I wonder if the filter can filter out all the containa ments with a 8 second push.
