Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value-ideal entry level bike I bought this to get into mountain biking and have put it to the test as my skills have advanced including 2-3ft drops, chunky rock gardens, and winding single track. The bike has held up incredibly well to some aggressive terrain and more between 150-200 miles of single track thus far. I was super hesitant about buying a mountain bike at a box store, but the availability of a bike mechanic in-store eased that apprehension, however access to this service seems challenging given how busy the store is every time I’ve been in. If you need repair or tune-up and willing to leave your bike for a week or so that service is available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Versatile Had this bike for one month and have ridden it six times. I had one 8 mile ride on a moderate mountain biking trail. The bike itself did well up and down hills on rough terrain. I felt very in control even though I am not used to the bike yet. The seat came loose during the ride but it was because I changed out the seat for a more comfortable one and did not tighten it down enough. I also had a 9 mile ride on a cement bikeway and bike lanes on the side of the road. I have never ridden a great street bike, but I was impressed with the speed I maintained and the ease of pedaling. For the cost of $300 to $400, it’s a great deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value After getting a GT fitness bike that I am happy with, I came to find that I needed something for trails. I was able to find the size and color that I wanted at my local store. The manual (yes, us old guys read them) does not qualify this as a mountain bike. I'm 55 and seriously doubt that I will ever be a "mountain biker". I've been on narrow, winding trials with hills and the bike handled everything. As a plus, it does nicely on pavement. Front shocks, disc brakes and smooth-shifting gears are more than sufficient for my needs. To top it off, I was able to get the bike at half-price and the sales associate was great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent starter bike I bought my bike about a week ago and have riden it everyday since. It's great around the neighborhood and on the trails. I'm 28 years old, 6" tall, 200lb and the large fits me perfectly. I'm new to mountain biking(bmxed back in the day a bit) and it was the best deal on a quality bike that I could find. I really put some abuse on it for a solid few hours on the trail with jumps and large hills. Had the chain pop off once and it was my fault for shifting like a idiot. Brakes are also very powerful once broken in and adjusted. Locks up the tires if your not careful. The fork is adjustable and with a little bit of tuning rose like a dream. I couldn't be happier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike For the price, it's hard to beat the quality and features on this bike. The lightweight aluminum frame, mechanical disc brakes, and Shimano gears make this bike feel and perform like a bike at least twice the price! Rides very nicely on both paved roadways/ bike paths but also performs well on the trail handling rocks, roots, etc with ease. Great buy if you want a good multipurpose bike that you can use for most moderate/intermediate trails as well as just riding around time. Dicks did a great job tuning the bike and was almost ride ready straight out of the store. Comparable with most mid-range bikes you would find at a bike shop, if you can find one on sale at Dicks you are getting a great deal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good but... Got mine a few weeks ago on sale for $299. Great lookin bike and FAST! My issue is that Dicks wouldn't let me buy and assemble myself. So I waited a day for them to assemble and what I got was a bike with hand tightened pedals, loose and off center handlebars, a loose headset, missing lock washers on the stem screws connecting the handlebars, under inflated tires, and deraliers that aren't adjusted properly. The disk brakes were ok. I straightened everything out and the bike is fine now but gimme a break people. Btw the salesperson was very friendly and helpful. At $299 I would definitely recommend this bike but at $449 you should go to your local bike shop and buy something as good if not better and is PROFESSIONALLY assembled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy Bought mine Dec. 2018. Couldnt be happier. At 599 I would be dissapointed but on sale this a great buy. Good geometry decent components. Most other brands are charging about 5 to 6 hundred for a 8 speed entry level mountain bike So this is a steal. My only complaint is the fork. Short travel and stiff spring made for a uncomfortable and uncontrollable ride. After my first ride I ordered an air fork. Money well spent. Now Im the envy everywhere I ride just because Im riding a modern geo air sprung MTB at a phenomenal price. A set of upscale tires made a difference in handling also. Buy it on sale and you will be really happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well balanced bike. Can ride a wheelie all day long. I bought this bike last night. Brought it home to give it a good inspection. Wow, the handle bars were off center by an inch and five eighths. The disc brakes were aligned diagonally with the caliper pushed all the way against the rotor on one side and opposite on the other. Front brake cable almost fell out it was so loose. Cable caps were missing on three cables. A few cable ties were also missing. And the headset was wiggle loose. After correcting the professional assembly , i went for a quick test ride. Loved it.... Bike itself handles wonderful. Great wheelie time. Great air balance. And great stopping. Just double check the professional assembly. My 12 year old can do better....
