Weak Paddle Shafts And Construction

If you plan on doing any white water kayaking you do not want this paddle. If you are only ever going to be on lakes and rivers that are rated float or class 1 this paddle will be perfectly fine as long as you do not find your self in a situation where you need to roll your kayak. This paddle will not hold up well to rocks, strong currents, advanced kayak maneuvers, etc. I think it would be a great paddle for someone fishing.

Value For The Money

OK this is not a "big buck" paddle, but it is pretty nice for the money especially if you're just starting out. I would recommend a little silicone spray applied to the snap joint of the paddle to add in insertion & remove of the haves , but that's about it.Also Dick's had super fast shipping.
