Batting Cage

I really like the fact we can get reps in at the house. Not the best but worth the buy.

Cheap

This cage is really cheap. Don’t waste your time. If you are serious about a batting cage you are going to need to spend some money and time.

Wouldn't Recommend For Anyone Over About 10/11u

Product would work great for younger players I would say. My grandson is playing 14U as a 13 year old. Within 2-3 days of hitting into his catch net, a couple of holes developed at the top. I believe the netting is to thin for anyone over 11U or so...

Horrid Durability

SAYS IN THE ADVERTISING ON HERE DURABLE AND WILL WITH STAND THE WIND AND WEATHER. FALSE STATEMENT. LASTNIGHT OURS SNAPPED AS WE HAS A VERY SMALL UNEXPECTED STORM. KIDS' EASTER PRESENT. BROKE THEIR HEARTS

Poor Construction

I bought this for my son for his birthday. We got it up and after we got it up there was a windstorm (25/30 mph winds). Brackets were broke. Since this was purchased through the coronavirus shut down we were unable to go to the store. I had a very upset kid so my husband made different brackets to make of work. The netting was good quality but the brackets were horrible!

Very Durable

We bought this for our teenage boys as a Christmas gift and it works just as described. It has withstood snow storms since we got it and never wavered.

Nice Product, Excellent Customer Service

Bought this item online and was excited to get it because of the price. I had read some mixed reviews before purchasing, but figured I could always take it back to the store if it didn't work out. The cage set up in about 45 minutes and seemed really stable. We also have a Heater baseball machine we use with it and it was fun to get inside and take swings which were even too fast for me. After about 2 months, we had a big storm come through and one of my fiberglass rods broke (after going back and reading the instructions I now realize I should have taken the cage down before the storm). Obviously I was upset because it'd only been a few months, but I called the Heater customer service line and there was a girl who was extremely helpful. They sent me a replacement pole for free and I replaced the part in 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend this cage to my friends. It's worked real good since it's been up and the only time it had an issue was when I was lazy and didn't take it down when we had a storm. My son has improved a ton since we got it and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Garbage

I really wish that I read more reviews before I bought this product. I purchased 2 of them which makes me even more of an idiot. 2 of the fiberglass poles broke in the first year. This is my second season with it and I now have a total of 5 poles broken.I should have gone with my gut and made the batting cage out of steel pipe. But this seemed a lot easier.Lesson learned.

Not Very Good

Bought it on Aug 17 at Dick's in Chesterfield Township and brought it back a few hours later. The string that holds the pipes together breaks easily and the pipes are very nimble and really don't work. don't waste your money. The people at dick's on 23 Mile were really nice but most are clueless. The manager is excellent and helpful but he is the only one.

Good Value.

I have to admit, I was skeptical when I saw in the instructions that we have to "bend the poles" into an arc. I was sure they would snap. I even called the 1800 number to question them, but they assured me, they would bend easily.....and they did. I took about 100 swings the first day, had a blast with it, and it held up well. Works nicely with the Heater pitching machine, which hooks perfectly to the cage.Don't try to use it for a golf cage, though. I hit seven golf balls, and four of them went right through the netting.

Good Product, Good Value.

Good purchase. Good value. Bought my 8 year old this product and now he gets his necessary reps in. Set up wasn't easy but I managed by myself. Package says 24 ft but there is a lot of extra net and we get 3 or 4 feet longer on the back stop. Alley end is double net so it holds the line drives perfect.

Batting Cage For My Daughter

Solid Cage For The Money

Bought this for my 9 yo Little Leaguer for backyard BP. Set up was not very easy, but not very difficult either. Support posts were well marked and easy to fit together. I made sure all support ropes between posts were measured precisely before putting support posts up, as would be difficult to adjust them later at 10-12 feet high. Knot tying skills are helpful, although mine are middle of the road at best. Putting net over support structure was the tricky part, but I was doing this alone. Until you advance the net over the apex of the support posts it tends to slide right back off in the early going. I ended up using a large push broom to lift up the net and advance it over the structure while still standing on the ground. Much easier than climbing up and down a ladder. While the ground stakes work well, we ended up placing support lines from the end support posts to nearby tress to avoid having these lines running to the ground where people, or our two dogs, might trip over them and/or dislodge them. Cage has only been up about 2 weeks but has already weathered two wind and thunderstorms without loosening up. We have ordered a pitching machine to use with the cage which has not yet arrived, so thus far we have only used this 24 foot cage for fast toss BP, which works just fine. At this close range a solid protective screen is a must. I wanted the 30 foot Xtender cage but it would not fit in the space we had, so we knew this would be a bit tight. With a Heater pitching machine that stands outside the netting and even back a few feet, we will still be able to have a pitching distance of 20+ feet. We also put some twine through the netting at the batter's end of the cage to pull that wall back a bit and give more space to swing. Again, a little small but big enough, relatively sturdy once up. Will be interesting to see how netting holds up over time.

Worst Product Design Ever!

Very difficult to setup with getting the net taut and properly position. Have had the product for 6 months, needs constant adjustment so that the net does not droop inside and impact swing, and stays on the ground to prevent the balls from leaving the netted area. Terrible design.
