Good Idea - Poor Design

I brought this one on June 30 and just finally had to return it. After having to order multiple replacement parts, it just isn't worth the effort. The Frame continuously broke. The rain added to much stress and so did putting the structure up and taking it down each night so the wind doesn't add stress.

Poor Quality - False Advertising!!

Here is the information in this advertisement "The Heater® Xtender™ 30’ Home Batting Cage is an excellent training tool for serious players. The 48’ frame provides maximum swinging area, and the durable solid steel and fiberglass frame stands up to wind and weather without bending or breaking. The extra strength catching net is made of 1-1/4” polypropylene, which provides twice the strength of standard 2” netting. The XT30 Cage is built with durable steel and fiberglass poles." The cage bend over at the slightest wind and broke the pole within one month. The net is maybe the only thing of minimum quality.

Waste Of Money

We bought the batting cage during quarantine days for our 12 year old son. After putting the system together exactly as the directions indicated, it snapped with a small gust of wind. We tried to secure it further. The net is so weak and fragile, my son hit a ball through it in one of his first swings (from a batting tee). The directions are clear that it won’t withstand heavy winds, but this is wayyy too large to take down, and extremely time consuming to put up, except for at the end of season. Long story short, we had to completely tear down the dilapidated structure, and we REBUILT an entire new cage with PVC piping. We kept the net for our cage that we built, but I really don’t know how long this net will last. It is so weak!! Complete waste of money!!
