Received my Heater Fastpitch/slowpitch softball machine this past Monday 4/13 (ahead of schedule) and it was unpackaged, assembled and throwing pitches in the tunnel within 25 minutes. I've had "a different" higher dollar brand machine with 2 wheels and ability to throw many different pitches, but one of the motors went out on it after 3 years of usage and trying to find a replacement motor became a nightmare, so I rolled the dice on this little machine. I have to admit that I was skeptical after reading mixed reviews but now have to admit that I was very pleasantly surprised. Although it might not have all of the bells & whistles of some of the higher dollar brands, it brought a nice amount of velocity & accuracy. My daughter plays 6A Varsity High School Softball and a Summer Travel team and I needed a machine to at least keep some pitches in front of her and the Heater didn't disappoint. I used the dimpled balls through the machine and didn't try any regulation 12 in. softballs and the dimpled balls worked well, and that's all I ever used in my other machine. I set the machine at the regulation 43 ft. from the pitchers mound to the back of the plate and I'm guessing it was somewhere in the 57mph range dialed up to the highest setting of 10 (I can move the machine a little closer towards home plate to simulate faster pitches if needed). Obviously, I can't speak to the longevity of the machine since I've only had it a few days, but if you're looking to get some good pitches in front of your kiddos with some pretty decent velocity that doesn't break the bank, then the Heater machine could be your answer. The ball feeder was a VERY nice addition to the machine that I would highly suggest (It came included with mine from Dick's). It's MUCH easier to move around than my other machine and is half the weight, which was a plus for me as well. In the past 3 days I'd estimate that I've fed 400 balls through the machine to my daughter and one of her teammates, and the machine has performed very well. Time will tell, but my early thoughts on the machine right now are very positive.

12 Y/o Daughter Loves It!

Great machine to practice at home in the yard with! Very happy that we purchased it.

Great Machine

Compared to more expensive machines, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Great Product Easy To Assemble

First time, first pitching machine. fairly easy to assemble. At 100% can probably throw over 55 mph but the motor vibrates and its noisy. Around 85% does not. Since I practice slow pitch I get various speed options to practice.
