Received my Heater Fastpitch/slowpitch softball machine this past Monday 4/13 (ahead of schedule) and it was unpackaged, assembled and throwing pitches in the tunnel within 25 minutes. I've had "a different" higher dollar brand machine with 2 wheels and ability to throw many different pitches, but one of the motors went out on it after 3 years of usage and trying to find a replacement motor became a nightmare, so I rolled the dice on this little machine. I have to admit that I was skeptical after reading mixed reviews but now have to admit that I was very pleasantly surprised. Although it might not have all of the bells & whistles of some of the higher dollar brands, it brought a nice amount of velocity & accuracy. My daughter plays 6A Varsity High School Softball and a Summer Travel team and I needed a machine to at least keep some pitches in front of her and the Heater didn't disappoint. I used the dimpled balls through the machine and didn't try any regulation 12 in. softballs and the dimpled balls worked well, and that's all I ever used in my other machine. I set the machine at the regulation 43 ft. from the pitchers mound to the back of the plate and I'm guessing it was somewhere in the 57mph range dialed up to the highest setting of 10 (I can move the machine a little closer towards home plate to simulate faster pitches if needed). Obviously, I can't speak to the longevity of the machine since I've only had it a few days, but if you're looking to get some good pitches in front of your kiddos with some pretty decent velocity that doesn't break the bank, then the Heater machine could be your answer. The ball feeder was a VERY nice addition to the machine that I would highly suggest (It came included with mine from Dick's). It's MUCH easier to move around than my other machine and is half the weight, which was a plus for me as well. In the past 3 days I'd estimate that I've fed 400 balls through the machine to my daughter and one of her teammates, and the machine has performed very well. Time will tell, but my early thoughts on the machine right now are very positive.

Great Product Easy To Assemble
First time, first pitching machine. fairly easy to assemble. At 100% can probably throw over 55 mph but the motor vibrates and its noisy. Around 85% does not. Since I practice slow pitch I get various speed options to practice.

Easy Set Up
Just tried it for the first time. It assembled quickly.Of coarse height adjustment is required for changing speeds. The higher the speed the more consistent the pitch. I am very pleased with the purchase. The smile on my daughters face makes it priceless.

Great Pitching Machine
Machine works as advertised, but I wish it could aimed at a steeper angle for pop-ups. It took me about an hour to jury rig it to do this.

This Product Does What It Says.
It's easy to put together and it has simple instructions. The only downside is that I wish I knew about the inconsistent pitches while using balls with stitches on them. The practice "dimpled" balls work with out a flaw. The official game balls can be erratic at times. Have fun!

Great Machine For The Price
Bought for 2 daughters who play fast pitch, ages 10 and 12. You won't find a better Machine for the price.Housing is all metal, the wheel is a very small rubber tire type. A lot smaller than the Jugs Jr but throws about the same speed. Maxes out at about 50mph. The wind speed and direction affect the overall ball speed. Pitching into the wind slows the balls down noticeably, as does the wind from behind increase speed. Overall for [$] with a feeder you simply cant go wrong. we have thrown over 2000 balls through this machine so far and it still works fine. I would recommend the Juggs Sting free type balls (2 dozen)these seem to work the best. We have tried the heavier batting cage balls and they come out slower due to weight and sting the batters hands more.

Great !
We love this machine. It is great for our young girls but the adults enjoy it too. We had a hard time finding the balls needed locally so make sure to order the recommended dimple balls online when you order the machine. Very rarely a ball does get stuck in the feeder but no big deal.
