Overall Construction Is Very Solid

Overall construction is very solid and the fit is just right. Plenty of room in the main and front pockets. My only complaint is that the zipper pulls feel a little cheap. They are small and made of plastic; I may need to replace them with larger metal pulls.

Very practical and professional. The only complaint is that the zippers are kind of stubby and the straps could be a bit more padded.

Waterproof Backpack

Material is stiff and could be more pliable. The zipper is hidden and covered which requires the user to flip back material to easily open. Durable and good color selection. My purchase did have one flaw in the machine finished stitching. This flaw hasn’t affected the workmanship of the bag. This company guarantees their products and this defect would warrant a replacement. would

I Purchased This Bag Because

I purchased this bag because I work in southeast Alaska in the summertime. It's a very large rainforest and rains about 90 percent of the season. I do lots of walking and have to carry things to and from in the rain and I'm excited to give this bag a shot. It's made of real weatherproof material. I will be trying it out this week and have high expectations!

Not The Most Comfortable…

Wear and tear is too evident and it’s only been one international trip. Wish I could have had more time to try it out domestically, may have returned. And it’s just not very comfortable (putting on, taking off) on clothes.

Not Weatherproof

When I purchased this it said it was weatherproof. This is not the case. In rain your things will get wet! Was very disappointed. Not really rained hard either. All my things got wet. Beware!

Great Backpack. Plenty Of Space

Great backpack. Plenty of space but I wouldn’t say its a XL backpack. The waterproof material gets white marks with every slight scratch or wrinkle.

"Wear And Tear" Prone

Bought this bag for freshman year in college to keep my technology safe from the elements walking to and from my classes on campus. Although not "weather proof" I did not have any trouble or concerns about arriving to my class, after serval minutes of weather exposure, with wet or damaged contents. However, the bag does not hold up well and is not something that is deemed "warranty" related. I would buy a Herschel bag again, I own several, but would not buy any bag made from their "weather resistant" material. It looks terrible after normal use and needs to be discarded based on its appearance alone.
