I wanted to invest in a good warm glove and someone at a local ski shop recommend these. Unfortunately they seriously make my fingers freeze. I've tried wearing them a number of times thinking it was just that I started with cold hards. My cheap Costco gloves (that I picked up for driving in the car, etc) keep my hands warmer than this pair. I wore my Hestras yesterday xc skiing in cold weather (because the cheap gloves got wet). We'd just stopped for lunch indoors and my hands were toasty warm (I had all the proper gear to be comfortable). I put of my liner and these gloves and after about 5 minutes my fingers were literally FREEZING cold. It truly felt like the fingers materials attracted cold and/or released heat... My $15 gloves kept me hands warm the first 3 miles if skiing yesterday, until they got wet. The Costco special isn't water proof... I think it's reasonable to expect more than fashion flair from a $100 pair gloves. Luckily my friend loaned me a pair of her gloves and finally my fingers warmed up (note: the gloves she loaned me were similar to my $15 light weight glove). Loved the look and feel of of these gloves... Unfortunately, the only time my fingers were comfortable in my Hestras, my hands were SO hot that I took off the gloves all together and was totally comfortable. Wish I would have return the $100 gloves, but it's been over a year...so I think I'll give them away for warm weather wear.
