Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Sierra Classic 2 Series Express Lumbar Pack After our move from UT to a retirement community in NH I misplaced my fanny pack that held two water bottles. During the winter I was able to use a coat with four large pockets but clearly that wouldn't do for upcoming warmer weather so I searched for a replacement on the internet. Of all those I viewed I chose the High Sierra from the description and reputation. I wasn't disappointed. I hope it will serve me well for continued hiking as long as I live, hopefully to 100!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from manufacture defect received pack, and netting material that holds water bottle in place is not stitched to the elastic at the top. started claim and sent pics and your response email stated you would contact me within 3 business days. on the fourth business day I replied to your email and I got the same response as the first - that I would hear from you within 3 business days. it has now been 6 working days from the original request and still have not heard back from you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too big for running. Better for hiking This thing is huge and doesn't stay in place when you run. It's a better choice for hiking. Also comes with a warning (that was not disclosed on the website) that it is made of known carcinogenic materials :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A pack good for hiking BUT not for running This pack is made well BUT when I wore it on a short 12 mile trail run, I had 2 32 oz bottles in the ouches and all throughout the run, they wobbled. I have a old pack from Alpine-Lowe that had the pouches in the middle of the pack. If you hike then this pack is great but if you want a wobble free pack for running, look for another type on pack.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bottles Leak, But Good Pack The water bottles leak/drip while drinking from them - it was really frustrating. I didn't mind being wet because I was hiking and playing tennis while using them, but if it was cold or I was going to be having photos taken of myself I would have been more upset because my shirt was definitely wet from the leaks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bottles leak Poor bottle design. They both leak from the nozzle becuase the nozzle opens & doesn't lock. High sierra replaced them at no change but the new bottles had the same problem, the spout would open if turned sideways or upside down & leak. Othewise the rest worked fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from well-designed fanny pack While pack design is good and handy, The water bottles leave a chemical taste and smell. Ordinary 16 or 20 oz. soda bottles work as a good substitute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a good walking pack It is large enough to carry all I need and small enough not to be in my way.
