Separate compartments and pockets inside so you can keep your things organized. It has a retractable handle and wheels to use as carry on plus straps so you can carry as a large backpack. It also has an outside pocket/backpack that you can unzip and separate from the main bag to use as a small backpack. It looks very durable and good quality, it is sturdy but not heavy at all.
