Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice bag but weak seams As a student, I use this bag for transporting my books mostly. I have used it a few times for disk golfing, but I never abused the bag. Within a few months of use, a tear began at the top of the bag on the main pocket seam. After about a year of use, the hole is 4 inches long, there is a tear where the drink holder attaches, and the headphone pocket is starting to detach. Pros: Looks good Lightweight Strong fabric Large carry capacity Cons: Weak stitching No rain bag This is my third bag from high Sierra. The last one retired after 6 years of use. I really like the bags, but not if quality has dropped over the years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly made I was very excited about this product when I purchased. It has a lot of compartments; laptop and iPad area that are padded and separated. I moved internationally for Vet school and wanted to replace my old High sierra backpack because I will be here for 3 years and my old one had started to tear in a small place on the top. You can imagine my surprise when only 2 months into the semester, the pack rips! A giant chunk of the bottom portion of the laptop holder ripped at the seam and left a frayed edge...no way for me to sew it back together. Very disappointing! Now I am in another country and unable to get a replacement or any customer service. Wish I didn't leave my old backpack in the States!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT... Until.... I am a teacher and as a result I drag a lot of materials back and forth, so I am always looking for the PERFECT bag. I also take frequent weekend trips to the city and travel very light. I need a bag allows me to carry a weekends worth of clothing along with my computer and gadgets. This one, until about a week ago, was it. That its when the zipper above the front mesh pouch started getting caught on a loose thread. I have had it for less than 9 months. I thought I caught it in time, protecting the bag and the zipper, but then the seem started to really unravel and as that is a pouch that I use often, it gets constantly caught on loose threads. Needless to say I am in another bag, but am waiting to hopefully find another High Sierra product that works for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from IDK man This is an okay backpack... I used it for my sophomore year of high school. It's great that it fits a MacBook Pro and is able to hold books/binders/notebooks/etc. I felt like I kept having to take extra papers out of those things to allow for more room and to make it lighter. The bag itself is almost 4 pounds with nothing in it. I've began developing back problems because of this backpack so I'm looking into buying a new one from somewhere else, most likely the North Face. This backpack will definitely not work for me for my upcoming 2 years of high school and the college. Very disappointed in this backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from While a tad heavy, this is an incredibly versatile pack This pack has so many pockets and sections it is wonderful to keep all your stuff organized. There are so many options I find I can carry a ski helmet, fly rods and electronics needed for many different active vacations. It is comfortable, but is a tad heavy when empty. Ideally I'd love a hip belt for when it's totally loaded, but most travel carry on packs don't have them and so it's not a major issue. Seems very sturdy and is adequately stylish for someone who is really practically minded.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Solid Backpack, But A Couple Minor Concerns Bought this backpack in preparation for college as my old high school bag is getting a little worn out, and I needed something with a laptop compartment. I really like the steel cable running through the top handle, and it seems to be a pretty solid backpack overall. Lots of different places for you to stash your stuff. However, when I put my laptop in its compartment it feels like it takes a notable amount of space from the main cavern, and it might be a little difficult to haul multiple textbooks around in addition. That's not to say the main pocket is small, just something for other students to think about. Also, the zippers are a bit bigger than those of my last bag, and are a little harder to pull/make a bit more noise than my old ones, but I'm just nitpicking at this point, they're perfectly functional otherwise. I've seen others complain about the stitching on some of the seams failing, but none of that has happened to me yet (although I've only had the bag for about a month so far, so I'll keep an eye on it). So far I would for sure recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Backpack I use this backpack daily between home and work and to other meetings. It holds my laptop and many computer related items plus paperwork, folders, books and so on. This backpack replaces my first High Sierra bag which gave me many years of great service. This new one is even better than the first which I really loved.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only lasted 3 months before I for the covering tore. I cant believe the strap tore from the sim so fast. I think it was not sewed correctly to begin. I only used this on the field 3 months. Nothing heavy just a laptop and some accessories. Before this backpack, I had a another one and it lasted over 5 year before I saw a tear on a sim. Very Disappointed in High Sierra.
