Work Great!

Worked great so far on my first trip in pretty mixed conditions. 10-20 degree slope, pockets of powder and patches of ice, and some slushy sno-cat tracks to start. A few feet on gravel/rocks. A little ice ball buildup in them in one point, but never lost traction. They're probably exactly what I need.. mixed steep snow/ice but not technical mountaineering.

Feel Safe On Ice And But Canadian

Feeling safe when hiking in icy conditions. Nothing compares to the Hillsound spikes when it comes to efficiency, grip, durability and easy on & off convenience. In addition, they are a Canadian company!

Good Crampons But.....

The trail crampons are great crampons but I have now had two pairs where I have had a problem. With both pairs, where the side front chain joins the loop that is attached to the rubber surround, the loop has separated with the chain coming out of the loop. One time this happened on the outside of the foot so it wasn't a problem but in the other case it happened on the inside which meant my other foot managed to step on the chain and I did a face plant. I have tried to fix it my myself with pliers but being only 115 pounds I am not strong enough to clamp the loop back together.
