The MAFATE SPEED 2 was built to offer support and cushioning in technical terrain over any distance. This update features a deep Active Foot frame for support, and a tuned Meta-Rocker to facilitate smooth transitions through the gait cycle. The outsole utilizes deep flex grooves to adapt to a variety of terrain, and the 5mm Vibram Mega-Grip tread grips even the trickiest surfaces. The MAFATE SPEED 2 is ready to perform mile after mile, however far your trail adventure takes you.

Excellent Trail Sneakers

These have excellent traction on the tread. I would not necessarily run a ton on the road wearing them, but great on grass, etc.

My Dr. Orthopedic Recommended Them To Me But This Was The Only One No White No Black. But Not Wide!!! I Bought Them 1/2 A Size More For That Issue But It Doesn’t Solve It At All.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought them 2 weeks ago and maybe 3-4 days more. I don’t get used to. I walk strange. And they do too much noise walking over polished surfaces like shopping malls etc.

Solid Shoes

I’ve been wearing Hoka’s Bondis for several years. Although they are very comfortable, the tread wear is pretty bad. That brings me to the Mafate. They have an excellent tread. My only nit is they run tight when compared to the Bondi.

Love The Vibrant Soles!

I love Hokas…this is my 4th pair because I wear through them in 9-12 months from walking. The Cuban soles should last me a lot longer and can use these for my everyday walking vs. theme park walking!

Trail Shoes That Look Unique.

Bought these on clearance and took the advice of reviewers on how small they run and narrow blah blah blah, well I ordered one size up (13) and I should have just ordered them in my size (12) they are comfy and great on turf or gravel but are not small they just have to be worn a bit and they form to your foot, I felt them form about 2 hours after wearing them, I like them a lot there different than traditional trail running shoes and for the price can’t lose.

Disney-proof

Took these on a Disney vacation and they worked like a dream. My heels felt like they sat in the shoe better than some of my other Hokas. Put on many miles in the parks and my feet felt great.
