Great Cushion, Strange Toe Box Fit

I have worn HOKAs for over 10 years and the Arahi has been a staple in my power walking, jogging kit. However the last two versions- Arahi 7 & 8 have fit strange in the toe box area. I even sized up a half size and the toe box is wide enough, but the upper seems to angle more narrowly into the front of the shoe to cause less space for the toes after the big toe area. Very strange. I alternate my Arahi 8 with Brooks Adrenaline GTS and I am starting to like the Brooks fit better. Still not giving up on HOKA as I am hoping they listen to user feedback and tweak the fit. The outsole material does not seem to hold up as well as previous models as is wearing quite quickly.
