Sole Started Separating On Day One

I really wanted to like these shoes because they are honestly very comfortable, but my experience with them has been pretty frustrating. This was also my first pair of HOKAs, so I was excited to try them after hearing so many good things about the brand. On the very first day wearing them, the sole started separating at the flex point near my big toe. Before trying to fix it myself, I contacted HOKA warranty support. That process ended up taking almost two months of waiting and back-and-forth messages, only for me to realize the “solution” would actually cost me a lot more money. I bought the shoes at Dick’s Sporting Goods on a discount and used a coupon, so I got a good deal on them originally. But with the warranty process, I would’ve had to pay to ship the shoes back myself, then only get reimbursed for the discounted amount I paid, and then buy another pair from HOKA at basically full price. At that point it just didn’t make sense financially, so I decided to keep the shoes and try repairing them myself with shoe glue and clamps. But the separation started opening again immediately with normal use. That’s what makes this extra disappointing. The shoes themselves feel great on foot and honestly look great too. But having the sole separate on day one and then spending so much time dealing with warranty support really ruined the experience for me. Even though a lot of people say HOKAs are great quality, this experience definitely made me cautious about buying another pair in the future.

These are not women's!!!! They are men's sizing so order your size in mens. I now have to return and start over.

Great For Work!

My favorite Hoka is Clifton, but I really like Speedgoat as well. Great support and cushion and my feet don't hurt after I'm done working a full day. I gave them four stars because they will rub against my right ankle at times. I haven't figured out if it's a particular sock I'm wearing or the shoe. But I don't have this issue with Cliftons at all.

Think Twice If You Plan To Buy It

I bought these shoes in August 2025 and used them for 40-minute hikes 3–4 times a week. The inner side is already damaged. I’ve never had this issue with other brands, and others report the same problem. This suggests poor quality and poor durability

Mostly Comfortable

These shoes are generally comfortable and look great. The tongue is hard to grasp and feels quite thin. I can feel the laces across the top of my foot. This was my first pair of HOKA shoes. I doubt I will buy more.

Super Comfy!

I'm loving these shoes. They are extremely comfortable -- I didn't even have to break them in. My feet were still happy at the end of the first day wearing them. Great price and fast shipping.
