Excellent All Around Axe

This is an excellent all around size for most uses. Small enough for camp chores but still decent sized to get some light felling done. Certainly not an ultralight item but well worth the weight. This came hair shaving sharp with a mirror finish. Handle grain structure was tight but orientation wasn’t quite what I like it to be, but reasonable for a mass produced axe. Overall you just can’t beat this axe.

Solid Lightweight Axe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used cheaper axes for years and decided to get one that would be used for several lifetimes. I imagine this one will be used by my kids. They are made by people that take pride in their axes in a manner refined over centuries. Important to me is the lightweight design that can travel well in a canoe or pack. It came felling sharp out of the box.
