Brand new boots. On second wearing today, they got super dirty, so I washed them using a soft cloth with gentle soap and cold water. When I dried them, I saw a couple of spots where the light grey came off to reveal white underneath. I'd wanted to buy a second pair in black, but not if this is what will happen! These are really expensive boots and my first pair of Hunters; I'd hoped for a better experience. I've seen, now, that this happened to someone who bought from Amazon and someone who bought directly from Hunter. Maybe this line got a weird coating that isn't working? Anyway, heads up!
