The length of the longer side, but not too long. Not the short cut like some are these days. They look lightweight and comfortable. Also a well made item as well.

They are way too big for my 7 year old as they are meant for 10-12 year olds but he will definitely grow into them. The shorts are soft but not cheaply made. We both love the color and it’s so easy to see him in the pool or running in the beach. They are made well and will last through some tough adventures.
