This bag was the perfect size and style for my high school son. It has lots of pockets and seems well made. However, the top handle ripped almost all the way off after only a week and a half of school, which is pretty disappointing for the price.

One of my favorite features is how logically organized and convenient the pockets are to access. They feel purposeful rather than nonsensical and provide a secure place for everything you need. I especially appreciate the separate laptop compartment, which keeps my laptop protected and easy to reach without digging through the main compartment. The size is perfect for a weekend trip—it’s large enough to fit my MacBook Pro, accessories, a portable gaming system, a change of clothes, toiletries, and other odds and ends, but it manages to avoid feeling overly bulky. The external side pockets can easily hold a small water bottle or tech chargers/adapters for quick access. The overall construction and materials feel durable and well-made, and the layout of the compartments makes it easy to stay organized. Despite all its positives, I do have one minor critique: the laptop compartment only has a singular zipper. I would have preferred a dual zipper for more security and/or a way to lock the compartment while traveling. Overall, the Hurley Rider Backpack is a great choice for both everyday use and short trips or for anyone looking for a versatile and reliable backpack.

So Big!

Comfortable And Spacious
