Good Bladder But Baffle Lock Needs Work
I bought the 3L version for bushwalking. It seems tough. The bite valve is very good. It's reasonably easy to turn inside out for cleaning and drying. I've recently bought. A smaller pack for day works and have found it impossible to re-lock the central baffle to make the Pak fit my pack better. The material of which the lock is made seems very hard and inflexible. I can get the lock started but am unable to engage the rest of it from the outside. Rather disappointing.

Bite Valve Broke After First Use, Bladder Leaks
Used my new bladder for the first time. Filling was easy. But with the bladder on it's side in my bag, it leaked slightly at the top. After the first use, the tiny inner tabs holding the bite valve broke as I was cleaning it. I'm really frustrated I need to buy a new valve right away.

My Favorite
I love Hydrapak overall. I've used their reservoirs, bite valves, cleaning products, and water bottles and find them all to be the best on the market. I do have a slight problem with the newer design of these shape shifter bladders. The "improved" opening is so small that I can't hold the mouth of the bladder open far enough to pour water in. The opening is too small for my sink faucet to fit in either. Otherwise, great product.
